Rustpunt is a 3 Star graded and AA Highly Recommended luxury self-catering cottage, mentioned as the winner in the Accommodation Awards Guide 'South Africa's Best 2011', and mentioned with an award as Highly Commended in 'South Africa's Best' Guide 2010, 2009 and 2008, and mentioned with an extra mile award as 'People Who Go The Extra Mile'.The cottage is situated at a very beautiful spot with a large private veranda and stunning mountains views, forests and garden views. We are just two minutes' walk from the famous Owl House and the centre of the village. Annemiek, your host, will welcome you to this tranquil and beautiful valley; good for the heart and soul. Start your holiday with a stay over for two nights to explore this interesting little village with his Owl House and artists and art galleries. The Self-catering Cottage offers a fully equipped kitchen with coffee and tea facilities, one bedroom with a king-size bed, a TV with DStv, heaters, electric blankets, a fan and a large private veranda with a braai. It can accommodate two adults. There is a bathroom with shower and bath amenities. There is Wi-Fi connection in the room from half October until May.The Double En-suite Bedroom is part of the main house near the cottage, with a fridge and coffee and tea-making facilities. The room has a private entrance and a private veranda. Breakfast is not included in the room rate. There is also Wi-Fi connection from half October until May in the room.

13 January 2018"We loved our two night stay in this quiet corner of the quaint village. Looking out over the Karoo from the stoep was magical, and we will definitely be back.The house is well equipped, and although it doesnt have aircon, the fan and thick walls ensured that we remained cool on a scorcher of a day that reached 37 degrees.We love this little town, and cant wait to visit again."

At night we used the car to get to the village as it was raining but during the day we found the walk easy and enjoyable."

The accommodation itself is beautiful with thoughtful touches that really go the extra mile. We wouldn't choose anywhere else to see the amazing Karoo night sky!"

The cottage was clean, well appointed and comfortable with a lot of extra touches such as a welcome note, fresh flowers, delicious rusks etc. There was information on the area which was well presented. Annemiek was a wonderful hostess. Highly recommend"
