  "The location is lovely, being literally across the road from the Noordhoek Farm Village and close to the beach and other charming attractions.The property is lovely, it has a large garden and the rooms are thoughtfully decorated and homely. The owners are also very friendly and welcoming.We had a few issues however, that ultimately left us with a bitter taste. The owners had a large family gathering, of which we were not forewarned. Upon arrival we were INFORMED, not asked, that we had been moved to a different room because the elderly lady whose birthday was being celebrated could not make it up the stairs. We were also INFORMED, not asked, that our breakfast the next morning would be served in our rooms, as family were occupying the dining room. No offer was made for an alternative arrangement - we were not asked whether we would like a table set for us in the garden, for example. We expect, as paying guests, to be accommodated, not to be made to accommodate others.The bed was also incredibly uncomfortable, and rather than getting a good night's sleep we could barely sleep at all. Furthermore, the duvets over the beds are too small for two people, which also caused further frustration while trying to sleep.Ultimately, the service and comfort we received was not worth the money we paid. The place is quaint and holds so much potential, but ultimately we were left unsatisfied."

  "I have stayed at Pooh Corner before and thoroughly enjoyed my stay. Kathy is so welcoming and it really feels like a home, whilst having your own space and privacy. The accommodation is homely and the breakfast is wonderful. Charlie the dog is a big highlight! The location is perfect, just a short drive or walk down to the beach or into areas such as Kalk Bay or Silvermine. Opposite the house is a Farm Village which has places for coffee and a evening meal just over the road, which is lovely. Would recommend staying here to see a different, more relaxing experience of Cape Town!"

I loved Cathy's breakfast offerings that were delicious and something different from the normal fare one gets churned out at hotels.One can get lost in the fabulous grounds, so many nooks and crannies to explore.A bit of heaven is my review! :)"

As we were leaving very early the next morning, Kathy packed us a special breakfast to take with us - so delicious and thoughtful. I will highly recommend The House at Pooh Corner and will certainly stay there again!"

  "We booked and paid in advance. We did not even unpack. The self catering unit smelt of dampness. The furniture fabric was dirty and who knows when it was cleaned. The bed looked lumpy as if the mattress needed to be replaced. The host on hearing that we were not going to stay was only concerned about getting her payment. When it was brought to her attention that she was paid in advance she was then not concerned further."

  "Awesome! Different. Lovely for young children or if you're an EE Milne fan. Kathy pours her creative heart into making her guests comfortable and if you don't appreciate her efforts, you have to be a lump of rock! Breakfast is "to die for" and you need a whole day just to explore the garden.Highly, highly recommended!"

  "We really enjoyed our stay at the House at Pooh Corner. It was just the rest we needed before we hit the crazy silly season. Kathy was lovely and the perfect host. The breakfast she provided was wholesome, filling and healthy and very well presented. Generally the premises overall and the rooms were clean, neat and tidy and felt like our home away from home. The garden is lush, green and beautiful more like you have a private forest all to yourself. We struggled a bit with the TV but we didn't get away to watch TV"

  "This place is divine! It is breathtakingly beautiful around the house and the rooms are very cosy and it is very obvious that a lot of love and time went into it! The host, Kathy is the sweetest woman you'll ever meet who makes you feel welcome from the moment you arrive. I highly recommend this place if you want a relaxed, cozy and "close to nature" vacation!"

  "Kathy and Gavin made us very welcome in there beautiful home. We stayed in Owl house which had amazing views of the mountains. It was equipped with all our holiday needs and within a minutes walk to Noordhoek Village, where you can get something to eat or just chill out with a drink. We had a very comfortable and relaxing stay, and will definitely return if we go back to Cape Town. "

'Piglet's place' facilities are charming and tastefully decorated and very comfortable. The surrounding garden and natural forest area are delightful, creating such a peaceful and relaxing setting. We saw a number of birds including a beautiful Paradise Fly Catcher. They have a delightful array of pets. We grew very attached to their 'Bingo', who is a typically playful and mischievous puppy who is full of energy. We highly recommend this B&B."
