Named after the mopane veld that surrounds the camp, Mopani Rest Camp nestles amongst the mopani tree-covered hills. A signature feature is the huge, gnarled, old baobab tree in the heart of the camp. The vegetation inside the camp is left as found in the wild, adding to the unique atmosphere of the camp.

PLEASE NOTE: the rates are subject to the number of adults and children staying. Quotes will include the 1% Community Levy, but will exclude daily conservation fees, which are to be paid directly to camp on arrival.

PLEASE NOTE: from 1 September 2017, all visitors over 18 years old will be required to produce their identity document (ID), passport or alternative valid identification e.g. drivers licence card for scanning upon entering/exiting the Park.

"Mopani lodge is simple but clean accommodation on the standard of any national park lodge.The camp itself was a wonderful example of the reasons to stay within the Kruger instead of outside of it....watching the elephants play in the river from the restaurant, a nature hike around the camp with sightings of elephants, monitor lizards, and birds, and a beautiful swimming pool in the heart of the bush. Nighttimes brought alive a sky of endless stars, sightings of bushbabies, genet, and even a honey badger, and the sounds of the animals...we even heard lions roaring!The truly best part was the staff...the man at the front desk was very helpful and welcoming and booked us multiple game drives. Cindy, the game drive guide, was one of the most knowledgeable we've ever had!Would definitely return to this beautiful place."
