This small farm is the ideal holiday place for the avid trout angler; it has three still-water dams stocked with rainbow and brown trout. We offer three cottages and two double bedrooms. All the units are fully equipped for self-catering and we provide cutlery and crockery. The views stretch over the dam and countryside, offering complete privacy. Braai facilities are also available at each unit. The farm mainly offers fishing on a catch and release basis. Rod fees are applicable and day visitors are welcome. We sell flies and guides are available for coaching at an additional fee. Our fee to trout/bass fish is R200 per angler per day, or part thereof.
"It was a comfortable room, nice amenities"
"Thank you for a very enjoyable stay this weekend! The Cottage was gorgeous and perfectly secluded. We would love to be back in the future."
"The owner was very friendly, moved us to the sleeper room with aircon and television. The two bedroom is stipulated that there is a tv, but none in the room. The TV in the sleeper only had two channels and cannot be changed from the room, you have to request it from the owners and if they are not there, then you have only the one channel. This is very irritating when I am not a fisherwoman, my husband is the fisherman, and I came to just relax and have a lie around weekend. Maybe just a upgrade on their tv or to stipulate in the advertising."
"we thoroughly enjoyed our stay - its very simple, making it a restful staythe only thing we feel should be mentioned is that there is an additional fishing fee per person per day which should be noted when booking"
"It was beautiful! The sleeper cottage we were in over looked the dam and it was stunning! Gary was also very helpful."
"If you want to get in touch with yourself and nature. Or just want to be alone with your SO... this is the place to be. Its huge, I loved it. Its a good value for money and the people are friendly."
"Nice scenery and a cosy vibe all round"
"a wonderful spot to get away for the weekend, everything was as advertised, clean and tidy, lovely fire place with plenty of wood, hot water, clean sheets, heaters, heated blankets, a well equipped kitchen. a fisherman's paradise, even through we did not fish it was an amazing place. idea for accommodation to other wedding venues in the area, so close and secure, shops close by. would definitely recommend to all. thank you Gary and Shirley"
"The facility is very neat, clean and well maintained. The host however is rude and the welcoming was poorly executed."
"On a month long trip around the country, and 12 venues later, this place was the most underwhelming and receives my lowest score by far. The accommodation itself was ok, other than after travelling the whole day the geyser had not been switched on, so we went to be bed dirty and a bit grumpy. The real issue, however, was the owners attitude. Having taken a wrong turn and landing up at the main house, the owner tried his best to make us feel as stupid as possible for making that mistake. Full of sarcasm and completely disrespectful. I have never given a place a ranking this low."
"Only stayed one night. Great welcome. The room is great, spacious with everything you need. I highly recommend it."
"An ideal getaway spot with a rustic feel that has all the comforts for a superb stay."
"Although we were there for only one night it was spacious and comfortable and will return."
