Daisy Tree Cottage

Daisy Tree Cottage is a self-catering garden cottage situated conveniently close to town in a peaceful neighbourhood in Oudtshoorn.

Our target market are guests requiring affordable, beautiful and clean overnight accommodation at a competitive price. Quality comfortable beds with white percale linen will assure that you wake up well rested and refreshed.

The kitchenette has all amenities that you may require to cook for yourself, or should you prefer we will arrange for you to have breakfast or dinner at a nearby establishment. We will even get it delivered.

During winter we provide a heater, electric blankets and cosy warm bedding. During summer you are welcome to make use of the garden, which overlooks the main house and is shared with our two well-behaved labradors. We also have a communal terrace and seating area, as well as a beautiful large swimming pool and comfortable recliners.

Please note that during summer January and February temperatures can sometimes rise to over 40 degrees. Even though the cottage has a ceiling fan as well as a standing fan, some guests may experience a degree of discomfort due to the absence of air-conditioning.

If you feel like visiting the surroundings, you can make a combined trip to the breathtaking Swartberg Pass and Cango Caves 32 km away , or you can visit Cango Wildlife Ranch where they breed endangered animals 2.6km away, Cango Ostrich Farm 14 km away and the scenic Meiringspoort Waterfall 25 km away.

"We spent one night at Daisy Tree and found it difficult to leave, although it was winter and the weather was very cold we were kept warm with electric blanket/blankets and a room heater. The place is compact with a lovely verandah which overlooks the garden. We enjoyed the quiet neighbourhood and value for money."

"The owner of Daisy Tree is a lovely lady and was very welcoming. Once inside my heart sank to see the state of the actual accommodation. There were 2 cracked windows, the cement floor was merely painted over and that was all coming off. The beds are in a very poor state and the mattress very old and had no support. We left the accommodation one day early as I felt very uncomfortable. There is no entertainment whatsoever, so if you staying for longer than 1 night this place is not suitable. On the positive side the kitchen is well-equipped."

"Having stayed in many self-catering cottages around South Africa, we found this one to be certainly one of the better ones. Tania insists it is just for overnight stays but we were in it for 2 weeks and thoroughly enjoyed our time. Opening out into the family garden may be a problem to some but the patio with its fabulous table, was a delightful place to sit and relax and both the dogs were very well behaved. Tania and her children are very friendly without being intrusive. We are now planning our dates for a return stay."
