Retreat to the peaceful atmosphere of the Boschrand Guest Farm, with serene sunsets and clear night skies that offer glimpses of the untamed universe. Our veld is situated on the threshold of the Karoo with the oasis enticing butterflies and birds to your doorstep.

The main house still has reminders of a flamboyant bygone era in its patterned-pressed steel ceilings and spacious rooms. Each one of our large and comfortable private units has an en-suite bathroom and its own lounge and dining area for ultimate comfort. A huge lapa allows for leisure and true Karoo conviviality. You can relax in our inviting garden or walk to our farm dam.

The false Karoo vegetation and quaint hills give rise to the name of our farm Boschrand. Part of a working sheep farm, we strive to protect vulnerable species like the 'aardvark' and 'aardwolf' which inhabit our farm. Furthermore, interesting antelope species like springbuck, gemsbuck, mountain reedbuck and eland can be viewed in our area.

We try to make eco-tourism practical by giving children hands-on contact with farm animals. They can feed a 'hanslam' or help while the cows are being milked. In this way children learn to love and respect nature at Boschrand.

"We used this as a sleepover halfway house to Jeffreys bay. Everything was fine people friendly, food good but due to the extreme water shortage we could not cool down in the pool as these people haven't had any rain since March last year. Overall good experience."

"Dinner was as always exceptional quality.  The dam is unfortunately very low at present due to drought but understandable.  Double Bed Base a bit too soft for our liking.<br />"

"We are a family of 5. We were placed in a single room. The place we initially booked was a Family unit, that could sleep six. This unit could only sleep 4.<div>We had no garden view as was advertised. We were housed right next to the servants quarters.</div><div>The outside area was filthy.</div><div>The unit was advertised to be self catering but was clearly not equipped for this.</div><div>We will not be recommending this place to anyone.</div><div>Stay away!</div>"

"We had a very pleasant stay. Very friendly staff. Clean. Very good value for money. Really enjoyed the home cooked farm dinner. Bought a Karoo leg of lamb from the farm that will be part of our Christmas lunch."

"We stayed here twice. It was fantastic, we were welcomed warmly, stayed in a very clean rooms and the dinner was absolutely fantastic. The children also enjoyed the jungle gym, a ride on a farm horse and the sparkling, blue farm dam. This is going to be our new place to stop whenever we go down to Knysna."
