Rose Cottage Ovison is located on the eastern banks of Gariep Dam, about 56 km from the N1. They have two charming back-to-back cottages that boast wonderful views over the dam. This is the ideal accommodation for the avid fisherman. Unit One has a double bed en-suite, kitchenette and a ceiling fan plus an air conditioner, and Unit Two has a double bed in the main room plus single beds and air-conditioning. Unit 2 has a cottage-style kitchen with an open-plan lounge. The units open onto charming old fashioned 'stoeps' that lead to a quaint plunge pool for the warmer days. The outside braai and pool area is situated on a huge entertainment deck and has lovely 180-degree views of the dam. The holiday home unit is the private dwelling of the owner and it is NOT available for hire. The units have secure outside parking for guests vehicles. Guests are required to bring their own braai wood and all food necessary as the village does not have suitable shops. The nearest shop is in Gariep Dam Village. A holiday at Oviston is any fishermans dream with all fishing spots being a mere one- to one-and-a-half kilometres away. It is a great escape from the hustle and bustle of city life. The peace and quiet of this little town will capture your heart and you will experience nature in its purest form.Regret no Wi-Fi service

The situation is superb with a good view of an inlet of the Garieb Dam, seen over an undeveloped open space.</p><p>Perhapsa shower safety mat should be provided, since the floor of the shower cubicle is very slippery and no panic handles are provided in the shower.</p>"
