Laborie Wine Farm is nestled in the fertile Paarl valley, with the beautiful Paarl rock as a background. Visitors can overnight in the tranquil guest house and enjoy a delectable meal at the Laborie Restaurant. In testament to Isaac Taillefert, Laborie continues to deliver in the best French heritage tradition.

A visit to Laborie affords you the opportunity to reminisce about the Cape as it once was. The farm was granted to Isaac Taillefert in 1691, named after the district of La Bri in France. Laborie has been producing fine wines since 1698 and more than 300 years on, is one of the oldest operational wine farms in South Africa. Laborie produces some of the best Mthode Cap Classique sparkling wines, an array of award-winning wines, an estate brandy and a unique fortified Pinotage dessert wine.

The Laborie Wine Farm offers luxury accommodation consisting of eight guest rooms, with another special room in the historic Manor House. Views are of the beautiful Manor House gardens, vineyards and the majestic Drakenstein Mountains. All rooms are furnished in a Cape-French style and dcor is inspired by the characteristics of our award-winning wines.

The breakfast was delicious and the staff were very friendly. We were told to enjoy the wine tasting on the property which was a disaster as we waited for over an hour for our 5 tasters. The upstairs staff in the tasting area were very unfriendly.</blockquote>"
