  "We stayed at The Idle Monkey for one night on 2nd January 2007.We were given such a friendly welcome as soon as we arrived and had a fantastic room (Room 10) - although it was rather noisy at times with the trucks passing outside the window.However the room was gorgeous - very spacious, with two lovely, cosy double beds and a fantastic view over the water.As soon as we saw the room, we wished we could stay for longer.Breakfast was lovely, as was the hospitality.I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the Idle Monkey to anyone.It's in an ideal location - a short walk to the Knysna Keys (be sure to book in advance for any restaurants there) - a lovely place."

  "the house is built very close to the main road and all the traffic that travells from Cape Town to Port Elizebeth has to pass it. The locals consider it a good sport is to test their cars along this stretch of road, from midnight until dawn, sometimes testing the horn as they go. as the house has a thatched roof there is no insulation against the noise. Otherwise, its great and the landlady is lovely."
