Other facilities include a braai area, credit card facility, and safe spacious parking area with an electronically controlled entrance. "Regretfully, one of the guests had to let us in after we had waited for half an hour to get onto the premises despite notifying the B & B of our anticipated time of arrival. Information regarding location of and directions to nearby restaurants should be provided. Establishments response: Hello Anne, It was a pleasure to meet and welcome you to the guest-house. We sincerely apologise for the experience with your arrival at the guesthouse main gate. The reception was well aware of your arrival time and was awaiting your check-in. Unfortunately, with the afternoon bad weather (hail and lightning storm) both our gate motors and intercom were impacted. This was only brought to the reception's attention with your arrival/checkin that the signal was faulty and no call alert to cell was indicated (internet/Wi-Fi line was also affected for some time during the bad weather period following). The situation immediately received the necessary attention with the contractors in order to be reinstated asap. Again, please accept our sincere apologies for your in-convenience. Regards"

"We thoroughly enjoyed our stopover at the Nightingale Guest House in Bloemfontein on our long journey from the Kgalagadi to Durban. A great place to rest and be refreshed. Beautiful garden, and rooms stylishly decorated with everything you need. Also close to the waterfront shopping centre so getting dinner was quick and easy. I can definitely recommend this place!"
