Aqua View Riverside Guest House

Aqua View Riverside Guesthouse is nestled in the heart of Parys directly on the Vaal River and next to the entrance of the Parys Golf Course.

You can either book JUST A ROOM or THE ENTIRE HOUSE. If you book the entire house, you will have exclusive use of the house for your stay. The guest house has 6 bedrooms with 6 en-suite bathrooms. There is a childrens room off the Grey Kite Room and a lounge area where extra beds have been added. A minimum of 10 Adults up to 21 Adults. Kids welcome

All rooms have private entrances with tea and coffee stations, hairdryers, toiletries and bath sheet towels are supplied. Also available are wall heaters and hot blankets.

We offer spacious and comfortable accommodation with a tasteful flair of modern elegance at affordable prices.
There is a kitchen with an oven, a microwave, a washing machine and a fridge/freezer. Luxury lounge with DStv and a dining room.

Braai and pizza oven facilities are available on the patio, overlooking the SWIMMING POOL. Ideal for families and friends.

The guest house is close to the famous Bree and Water Street with all the antiques, little shops and restaurants. The location is in a very picturesque street and out of the busy tourist area. We are central and located near the hub of activities.

"Unfortunately we expected more for the price we paid, the pictures are misleading. The place (building and garden) needs attention as it is a bit run down. The microwave did not work and a fan is not the best idea for a room without a ceiling."

"Stayed at Aqua View Riverside for over a weekend. We had booked four rooms and really enjoyed our stay. The rooms and bathrooms are exceptionally neat and tidy. Very relaxing weekend. Garden area is stunning. I would suggest a family getaway at this guesthouse."

"Our stay in the Blue Crane Room wasn't horrible, but it definitely wasn't what I expected. I feel that the descriptions provided were not accurate and are very debatable:"...double doors that open up onto a private garden"- It was basically just mud. No grass even. We didn't bother even opening the doors to this tiny "garden" (which also wasn't all that "private" either. It just borders on the big/actual communal garden). "The bathroom has a lovely blue transparent roof where the moon and the stars shine through at night"- This was what made me book this room pretty much. It's hardly a bathroom, it's just a built-on toilet with a shower and sink. It's tiny and although technically I guess it was a "blue transparent roof", you couldn't see anything through it. Felt more like a small pool house. I found this really misleading and not nearly as romantic as you would think it'd be. Super bummed about this. They should show a picture of this, for people to know what they're really in for. - There was something wrong with the toilet. It kept making strange noises all through the night, which is really annoying when trying to sleep.- Couldn't get the TV's sound to work. We had the volume up on the TV as well as the decoder, but couldn't hear anything, which made having a TV in the room pointless. - It states that this room has a river view, which it really doesn't. It's very close to the river which is nice but I couldn't really see the river from the window (maybe through the trees and bushes if you really tried). You'd have to leave the room to see the river properly. Again, misleading. Miriam was really helpful and friendly when she was there, so we can't complain about that. It was just frustrating that when we realised all these things and needed help (with the toilet and the TV), there was no one there to assist. Maybe I just expected way more, but regardless of my expectations, I do still think that the descriptions are misleading. The room was clean and nicely decorated though, but that was about it."
