Kopjeskraal Country Lodge

Kopjeskraal Country lodge offers accommodation on a self-catering or bed and breakfast basis for groups of up to 20 guests. The lodge is situated near Parys and offers beautiful scenery and outdoor activities.

Accommodation consists of a large farm house for up to 10 guests, a rondavel, and four outside bedrooms. The farm house and rondavels feature their own kitchens for self-catering, while the bedrooms have two beds and an en-suite bathroom, with bed and breakfast available on request.

For those who prefer hiking and braving the elements, we provide a cosy home away from home at the end of an adventurous day, regardless of the weather. This relaxed environment, with all its traditional trappings, offers ample space to unwind for those who simply want to relax. Prolific birdlife and a working farm atmosphere lends Kopjeskraal Country Lodge a restful air.

Kopjeskraal Country Lodge is situated within the famous Vredefort Dome World Heritage Site, the oldest and largest meteorite site in the world, and is set amongst picturesque tree-clad koppies just 8 km out of Parys. The hill behind the big farm house affords 180-degree views of Dome Bergland and glimpses of the Vaal River, which lies about 1 km from the farm.

"Really loved the environment and the farm is really beautiful. We had lovely hikes and walks every morning and evening with our dogs.I would be more specific about the "kitchen". We had to change a lot of our dishes as the facilities for this is very very basic and missing a lot of things (grater, oven pan, braai tong, mixing bowl to name a few). Rather say it is a bar fridge with a 2plate stove/convection oven so that one knows what one can take. The shower also desperately needs a very very good clean."

"We had a fabulous long weekend. We needed a place where we could just relax, do nothing. It's just what Christo allowed us to do. Farmhouse is fitted with everything you need, the fireplace is just what the doctor ordered in winter. If you need some time out, and for peace of mind, Kopjeskraal is the place to be.
