Gooderson Natal Spa Hot Springs & Leisure Resort

Gooderson Natal Spa Hot Springs & Leisure Resort is situated on the road between Vryheid and Paulpietersburg on the Battlefields Route. Famed for its hot mineral waters, the resort has access to about four kilometers of the Bivane River flowing through the property.

Each room has tea/coffee making facilities and TV, offering 11 channels including M-Net. Facilities in the hotel include a spacious dining room and terrace offering lovely views of the garden and pool areas.

To revitalize mind and body, there is the recent addition of the Wellness and Beauty Centre. The resort is also fully equipped for wedding receptions, and has three well-equipped conference rooms accommodating between 10 120 delegates.

For the action-seeking adventurers, there are quad bike trails, squash, tennis, hiking, birding trails, mountain bike trails and fishing. The main attractions are of course the mineral water pools and a great 110m long super-tube.

  • "Gooderson's Natal Spa"

    13 January 2015

"It was a major disappointment to return to Natal Spa and find out there was no value as promised by the motto. The staff are non-cooperative and do not make you feel like you should be there. The food quality has degenerated and was not worth the high prices charged. The establishment places more emphasis on day visitors than hotel guests. We were overcharged and to date did not receive an apology even after reporting as a customer complaint."

  • "Picturesque venue"

    05 January 2015

"A lovely setting, with great food and amenities. With a little attention to detail this would easily be a 4 star establishment but the average service, poor housekeeping and substandard maintenance lets it down."

  • "Spoilt Weekend Away"

    11 November 2014

"Natal Spa is a nice quiet resort, very comfortable clean and neat.Problem was security is non existent so the weekend was spoilt by a couple of rowdy, ill mannered drunkards, who insisted on drinking at the pool area where it clearly states NO ALCOHOL.they even had there cooler box full of drink on the step of the pool. they were eating Watermelons and throwing the Leftovers into the pool."

  • "Lovely"

"It was a lovely experience and I will definitely return."

  • "Disappointed"

    28 December 2012

"Most disappointed with our visit to the Natal Spa. Having travelled far the lure of the spa was the pools and the water slide for our children. We arrived on a public holiday, only to find the pool area overrun with day trippers. The slide closed at 4pm and despite the best assurances of the hotel receptionist, it didn't open until 9.15am the next day - we had to vacate our room at 10! Although we stayed in a self catering apartment we had intended to have our meals in the Bistro. Management closed the Bistro at dinner time with no prior warning! We definitely won't even consider this resort when planning our next holiday."

  • "Enjoyable"

    21 January 2010

"We went on a Team Building trip. We enjoyed our stay, the place is very tranquil and peaceful."

  • "Natal Spa"

    30 November 2009

"The staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming, the bed was very comfortable and the hot springs were marvellous. I did not think much of the food, however."
