"Parking a bit tight for large vehicles."
"Had a lovely evening at Royal Game Guest house - the staff were friendly and helpful, the rooms well prepared & the food was great - thank you.<br />"
"We were treated like royalty. Thank you for helping 5 damsels in distress. It was the closest to home I felt in a long time. You hospitality and good breakfasts come highly recommended! Chantal Slabbert<div>Avid traveller</div>"
"Royal game guest is even more beautiful than it appears in the pictures on line. AND the room, rather suite, we stayed in was large, beautifully decorated, spotlessly clean, and secure. The grounds were lovely, the pool was large and well maintained, and because of the trees, etc. We heard no noise from the street at all.<div>The owner and staff were attentive and took the time to help with directions to where we needed to go while there. Also, in spite of the fact that the other quests had left the premises earlier than we had gotten up, the cook ( lovely lady-wish we had gotten her name) and Sam, cooked and served us a lovely breakfast on the deck overlooking the pool. Will we be back? In a heartbeat!</div>"
"Great staff - very informative and helpful. Simply but nicely decorated. Extremely close to the Kruger Park which helps to get there early before the park gets packed. The guesthouse is also convenient with a braai facility (no restaurant in the GH anyway) and a nice swimming people. Worth the discounted rate of R800-900 that we paid but probably not the double though the booking was advertised as under 50% discount."
"I booked a self-catering unit 6 months prior to our arrival in Phalaborwa in June 2013. As we were being shown to our room, the lady assisting us told us that we could breakfast in the dining room from 6h15 during the week. Our family of 3 got to our room to find a room containing 1 double and 1 single bed, a small fridge and kettle with 2 mugs and 2 glasses, and then a bathroom. Self-catering? No. We had purchased food in Johannesburg so had to arrange to store the meat in the kitchen's freezer, which they were happy to do. The receptionist also stated that she saw we had booked a self-catering room, but no efforts were made to apologise or to move us to a self-catering room, if in fact, one exists. Furthermore, the only windows into the unit were in the bathroom, so there was only the fan to ensure any air movement at night. The bathroom looked great, but the shower drain was blocked. We made use of their braai facilities at the lapa one evening, and I think that was the only evening we relaxed for a while. When you are expecting a self catering unit, you budget accordingly, and here we found ourselves for 6 days in a bed and breakfast guest house which, while pleasant, did not meet our specific needs. To suddenly be told you have to pay R120 pp for dinner as you cannot cook in your own unit was very disappointing, and naturally we looked for other less expensive options in Phalaborwa. Breakfast was adequate, but it also appeared that there were different menus for different guests as I noticed gentlemen eating hot porridge on two occasions, but when I asked after the porridge, I was told that there was none left. Twice I asked if the owner was there so I could chat to her, but each time I was told that she would be in later, and at no time did anyone contact us to make any apologies or alternative arrangements. Would I go back there? No."
"The establishment is clean and comfortable. The staff is very warm and friendly. Lee went out of her way to make our stayas pleasant as possible. Truly a "home away from home". Thank you Lee and your staff."
"We enjoyed our stay at Royal game Guest house. The place is very quiet if you want to relax, Very close to town if you really miss the city and very close to the Kruger national Park for a day out. I also enjoyed the hospitality of the staff and the balanced breakfast."
"Really good for relaxing and reading a book. Will definitely visit again and recommend for anybody."
"Thank you so much for a beautiful time, we had fun and will be back there next year with our family."
"Just awesome!"
"Marie was so wonderfully hospitable, and warmly offered us an additional room at no cost when she saw that the family room was perhaps not completely suitable for us. She also extended her hospitality to allowing us to braai and enjoy the afternoon by the pool. The accommodation is very neat and clean, and the breakfasts were delicious!Tinky is adorable, and played ball with us as often as we chose!"

"The accommodation is very comfortable and spotlessly clean. The outdoor facilities, including secure overnight parking, are convenient and well maintained.Despite the fact that the town experienced a power failure the next morning, Martha conjured up a Royal breakfast for me.The close proximity to the Kruger Park gate makes this a 'must' for all future visits to the Park."
"It was a lovely stay- we enjoyed our stay - very close to Kruger National Park and all the other shops. We will visit again."
