Twiga Lodge

Twiga Lodge is located on the 6th fairway of the Bob Grimsdell designed championship golf course in the prestigious Hans Merensky Golf Estate located in Phalaborwa, South Africa. The property lies in a wildlife corridor next to the Popular Kruger National Park. Wildlife animals are allowed to freely roam the course. The villa is self-catering but fully serviced featuring its own swimming pool.

Phalaborwa has a tourism industry based on its entrance gate into the famous Kruger National Park. The area is abundant in wildlife including the big 5. There are several wildlife rehabilitation canters in the area as well as top game hunting farms. Visitors in search of a golfing holiday with a difference will find this accommodation ideal.

    "A beautiful and very spacious house, fully equipped with all amenities. Everything was in perfect working condition. Comfortable furniture inside and a nice terrace with a rather small swimming pool. We had lots of company from the wild animals, such as small monkeys, antelopes, giraffes and lots of birds visiting the garden, and more animals on the adjacent golf course. For a family of four, like ours, this was the perfect place. But you need a car of your own to stay there, since the house is located quite far from the golf course club house, and walking outside after dark is discouraged due to the wild animals."

    "The stay was wonderful peaceful; perfect place to getaway from the city. The house is neat spacious and in good condition. One problem the camera in the house I would like to think that its for security reasons when the is no one at the house but I think it would be nice to warn guest about its presence and it being switched off when the are guests it is illegal and immoral to record people without the knowledge and or permission."

    "Well appointed, very well equipped and lovely house. Great if you are a keen golfer - pity walking on the course is not allowed - other than that, we had a great stay."
