"Beautiful little town. Annelie was so friendly and helpful when we changed our booking last minute. We arrived late at night and it was no problem. Loved the farmstyle feeling, and beautiful rooms.. I really wish that someday I would be able to visit again. I"
"The room had been cooled for us on our arrival in the midday heat. Everything was super clean and the decor and bedding was fantastic. Anneline went out of her way to make sure we enjoyed our stay."
"The guesthouse itself was comfortable , clean and the owners very friendly. The town however was a huge disappointment and not worth visiting as it is deteriorating to a ghost town."
"This was a one night stop over but we really enjoyed our stay there. The room was big with beautiful furnishings and a very welcome Aircon.

Don't leave this place before you do start gazing at midnight and drank a beer at the local pub in the main street.

Our host was also very accommodating and friendly.
Highly recommended!"
"We were greeted by great hosts and met with a clean, tidy room.
Breakfast was served the next morning and it was simply delicious.
Would recommend Bird's Haven anytime."
"Wonderful place. Wonderful host."
"Very friendly host. I had a good sleep on a good mattrass, but room with four beds (I was single) a bit too big and sparely furnitured (only one bedside lamp on the the fridge, no paintings, tea making facilities very highly placed on a kind of wardrobe). Doors only worked with much strength. Breakfast not convincing. I ha my stopover there from PE to Joburg, but the drive there was only worthwhile because of the beautiful sunset light."
"Great as an overnight stay."
"This is a beautiful setting with a lovely garden and the facilities are of a very high standard. Comfortable and spacious. Owners attend to a lot of detail to ensure this high standard. The garden in itself is a haven of relaxation and listening to the farm noises just a pleasure! Secure and private!"
"The hosts, Annelie and Louis, have created an oasis of genuine, warm, welcoming hospitality. There are three rooms, all en suite, beautifully appointed and with air conditioning!Being relatively small ensures the personal touch. Annelie and Louis are delightful and engaging and made every effort to ensure our stay was comfortable and enjoyable. The breakfast was delicious and mirrored Annelie's generosity and catering expertise. After overnighting with Annelie and Louis, we left feeling that we had made new friends. We would highly recommend staying over at Bird's Haven."
