"We spent 4 days at the lodge and could have stayed longer. The staff were exceptional in making us feel part of a newly found family. The lodge is neat and tidy, the food is very good and the tranquility outstanding. The lodge did their best to find animals on game drives, and we did see a lot. We can recommend this lodge anytime for a weekend stay and preferably longer. We will definitely be back soon!"

"Nice and clean room and very good food. People working at the lodge are very polite and kindly address any guest request. The location of the lodge is nice too.The name of the lodge may be confusing for people from abroad since the lodge is not exactly inside the Pilanesberg Park but in a private reserve."

  • "Amazing stay at Pilanesberg Private Lodge"

    15 January 2014

"We had an absolutely great time at Pilanesberg Private Lodge. Over the course of our 4-night stay, we saw tons of animals - lion, elephant, rhino, giraffe, zebra, kudu and more. Our guide Warwick was very knowledgeable and was able to get very close viewings of the animals, including a lion kill! The lodge itself was beautiful with a great view of a watering hole where we were able to watch a herd of elephants bathing on our first day. The walking safari was a great addition to our stay; we were able to get a different perspective on the bush and were lucky enough to see 3 black rhino in the wild. The food was excellent, as was the service. It met all of my expectations and beyond - I definitely recommend Pilanesberg Private lodge."

  • "Besoek: 31 Mei 2012 - 02 Junie 2013"

    03 June 2013

  • "Fantastic weekend"

    03 June 2013

"We have just returned from spending a fantastic weekend at the lodge. The hospitality was fantastic and the food, excellent. The accommodation was luxury too! The game drives were everything we could have wished for and more. I had never seen a leopard in it's natural habitat and was so blessed to experience it during our late afternoon drive, watching it eat it's prey .....awesome, awesome experience. I definitely will be visiting this lodge again. Thank you to all the staff for a wonderful way for us to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary!"

  • "Amazing getaway"

    09 January 2013

"The stay was everything that I expected and more. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The game drives were excellent - we saw an abundance of game. We would definitely stay there again."

  • "Pleasant experience"

    03 January 2013

"We spent an enjoyable evening at the lodge. Unfortunately it rained so our evening drive was cut short and there was no electricity at the lodge. The staff coped very well under the circumstances. We found our room was not properly prepared initially, but soap, shampoo etc appeared, without our having to ask for it, during the course of the evening. On the whole, a pleasant experience."

  • "Awesome"

    30 October 2012

"My eldest son and I spent 4 nights at the Pilanesberg Private Lodge. We enjoyed every minute and were sad to leave. The rangers, the manageress and other employees did their utmost to ensure our stay was enjoyable, catering to our every need. We had nothing to want for. The units were spacious, clean and well-designed, the beds were super comfortable, and the outside shower a treat. The food was superb, any special wishes we had were graciously fulfilled. Lovely location run by lovely people, we can only highly recommend!"

  • "Excellent"

    25 June 2012

"We had an absolutely awesome weekend. We loved everything from the game drives to the great food. And the service was excellent!"

  • "Thank you"

    02 May 2012

    "Excellent service and staff."

  • "Relaxing break in game reserve"

    30 April 2012

"We stayed for three nights in the two-bedroom family chalet. There are only three other two-person chalets with a total of only 10 people at any time. We really enjoyed the peace and quiet and saw lots of game (including lion) on our morning and evening game drives with our great guide Elzabe. The chalet was very comfortable with a lovely enclosed private outdoor shower. Jocome (and staff) made lovely food and was very accommodating towards our young kids. For such a private lodge the price was fairly reasonable. The only complaint is that the daily conservation charge (R65/adult and R20/child) should be included in the accommodation fees if possible to avoid having a surprise payment at the end of the stay."

  • "Amazing lodge and great, friendly staff"

    23 January 2012

"Our weekend at Pilanesburg Private Lodge was amazing, one of the best weekends away we have had. The staff were very friendly and attentive and made our stay very special. The game drives were fantastic and the food outstanding. We will definitely be back."

  • "Fantastic!"

    06 November 2011

"We enjoyed an amazing three-day stay at the Pilanesberg Private Lodge. The two drives a day, included in the package, were great and the highlight of our visit. The accommodation is very comfortable, stylish and modern; they were built in 2008. The room even has an outside shower for those who want to get back to nature. The friendly staff very flexible and accommodating, plus the food was very good. There is an option for a walking safari."
