Lagoon House is situated in one of South Africas premier destinations, Plettenberg Bay, along South Africas popular Garden Route. The house has a unique character which embodies privacy, combined with the luxury of a home away from home comfort, but most of all the best position in the area. The house offers ample accommodation and is fully furnished.
The area, fondly dubbed the "Poortjies", is a quiet area of Plettenberg Bay with magnificent views and unparalleled access to the beach, the lagoon and the bay. Plettenberg Bay is well-known as the destination of choice for South Africas rich and famous, although it is also renowned for its top wildlife, outdoor and adventure activities.
Lagoon House features four bedrooms and three bathrooms, and can comfortably accommodate up to 12 guests. The open-plan kitchen is fully equipped for self-catering and includes a stove, microwave and fridge-freezer. The lounge area is part of a large open-plan dining and kitchen area and includes a TV with DStv. There is also an outdoor shower with cold water for rinsing off after the beach, as well as Weber braai facilities.
The front gate from the garden provides direct private access onto old Lookout or Lagoon Beach. This beach is very safe for swimming and is ideal for children and families. Visitors are also welcome to moor a boat just in front of the house.
South Africans and international visitors enjoy the Garden Route town of Plettenberg Bay as it offers glorious, unspoilt beaches, fine dining, a vibrant nightlife and a year-round mild climate. Plettenberg Bay, thanks to the sheltered bay area, is also ideal for mating and carving of the Southern Right whales, who arrive every year during winter and spring to calve.
"Awful! Save your money and rather stay home. This house needs a major revamp. It is old, smelly and falling apart. The only redeeming factor is that is situated closely to the Keurbooms lagoon. This is the most expensive hovel you will ever stay in!"
