  "The picture is misleading. Not even a kettle in room to make coffee. Bed was clean and okay. No restaurant as advertised. No bowls to eat porridge. Ate weetbix in coffee mug. Staff was friendly. I can see they are trying there best."

  "The photo in the internet picture is only the pub and grill area. Not the rooms. And the pub and grill doesn't look like this at all. There is no grass. The thatch roof is weary. There is a 4 feet wall around the pub. At the back about 50 - 80 meters from the back of the pub is the rooms in a row with shade parkings infront. My room had spiderwebs on the wall and in the corners. The remote controle of the tv had only one battery in. By that I had to change the tv by hand on the tv. The top draw in the kitchen could not close properly and stuck on top of the second draw. The plug for the kettle is above the zink and no place to stand. The stove could not reach any plug. the top controle knob is gone. The shower floor haven't seen soap or a brush for a while as the tiles on the floor was black instead of white. The surrounding area of the complex is very unsafe as on the biggest side of the place there are no fencing. The pub is so near that I couldn't sleep as there were a dance with very load music until about 2 am. And the house right at the back of the sleeping counters is just seperated with a 4 meter wall. The dogs barked all night as cars or trucks pass by. I stayed for 2 days and there were no room service. my room wasn't cleaned at any time. I am definetely dissapointed overall with this place for the money paid. Thy will never see me again and I will spred the word about this misleading place. Thank you."

  "We really had a great time, the place was peaceful and quiet outside the noise of the city. The beds were comfortable and the rooms were clean."

  "I found the treatment by Elzette when we arrived very friendly and she was immediately available to help us if we needed anything although we were too early to book in. The accommodation, room number 2, was clean and very tidy every day. I will definitely recommend Howicks overnight accommodation to friends when they want to visit the area."
