    "Cockroaches everywhere"

  • "Not satisfied at all."

    22 July 2019

"The group accommodation (9) where we were booked is very filthy. Torn curtains, when sleeping its like you are in a hole as mattresses are very old, causing sore body. Filthy wardrobes, we could not even put our luggage in those wardrobes. Not enough cutlery for the group and yet they knew we were 9. No soap in the kitchen for the dishes. Serious renovation is needed urgently. Thank God we did not request their breakfast because even their main kitchen was so dirty."

  • "misrepresentation of their establishment and general honesty."

I have attached photos of what it actually looks like. </span></p><p style="margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt;"><span style="font-family: calibri;"></span></p><p style="margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt;"><span style="font-family: calibri;">What makes it worse is when we had booked and paid other rooms fit for humans to stay in, we had a room open that I wanted to use for suppliers coming to assist us with work they tried to put them into the same conditions and not into the room I had paid for, causing severe embarrassment for not only myself but my Company for trying to put them into accommodation of that standard. This has affected my Companies image with this supplier which is unacceptable. I have also attached the email with the photos that my supplier took when this had happened. </span></p><p style="margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt;"><span style="font-family: calibri;"></span></p><p style="margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt;"><span style="font-family: calibri;">When I called Ruan the owner he noted this must have been a mistake not in one of the conversations I had with him he seemed to be worried about this, no return call no return emails nothing. </span></p><p style="margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt;"><span style="font-family: calibri;"></span></p><p style="margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt;"><span style="font-family: calibri;">I would suggest you do not associate yourself with this establishment as this is affecting your reputation as well. I will be putting this onto Hello Peter as well. </span></p><p style="margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt;"><span style="font-family: calibri;"></span></p><p style="margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt;"><span style="font-family: calibri;">Who knows how many other companies have fallen into this trap.</span></p>"

  • "disgusted, apauling"

    17 June 2015

"Disgusted and appauling are two words that don't nearly describe this venue and it is surprising that a reputable company such as Safarinow have Limpopo Lodge on their books. Limpopo lodge is filthy, the bedding, cutlery and crockery is caked in dirt, the toilet facilities are horrific with fesus all over the place, no globes ....... does one have to continue. I will be contacting the health services to investigate this venue, it should be closed down.<div><br /></div>"

  • "Camp site"

    15 May 2015

"<p>I enjoyed : security</p><p>I did not enjoy the filthy ablutions(one leaking toilet in the shower) operated by placing your hand inside the water tank, There are two additional toilets(no doors-and not working-with excrement)then there is stench oozing from the manhole, bucket with rotting food5 meters from my tent. (Really?) It is called a refuge bin for a reason..... When you visit please take hearing protection, since your neighbors at the site camp will make sure they keep you awake until 11 with loud music, shouting and yes.......they will walk right past your tent with 200 lumen torches to make sure you don't sleep at all. </p><p>What you see on the photo on the web is not what you get. What you get is cheap andnasty. My fault, thinking there are sincere people left in this world. Remove the photo with the palm trees on the web and place a photo ofthe ablution block. </p>"

  • "Terrible"

    03 January 2015

"Pictures are misleading. It seemed like a nice and neat place but when we got there the grass was long, building rubble everywhere, old cars standing around. We decided to not camp here and booked into a guest house. Owner did give our money back but will not recommend this place to anybody. It has a lot of potential but needs a lot of work."

  • "Will call again"

    28 October 2013

"Upon arrival the reception was excellent, each time I phoned for directions the phone was answered immediately, the rooms very clean, the breakfast well prepared and on the agreed time _ in short Limpopo Lodge is a place I would want to go again."

  • "Limpopo Lodge"

    11 August 2013

"We had a great time at limpopo lodge, I can really recommend this place, very friendly and helpful people at very reasonable rate, don't know why other people wrote all the awful comments. IF YOU EXPECT 5 STAR ACCOMMODATION THEN YOU NEED TO PAY 5 STAR RATES.We will use them again in future."

  • "Friendly and helpful"

    18 March 2013

    "Very friendly and helpful."

  • "Disappointment"

    27 November 2012

"The most important thing about a lodge, hotel etc. is cleanliness. No matter how old the place is, keep it clean. Clean towels, clean bedding, clean carpet, clean glasses - something that Limpopo Lodge did not have. So yes, we packed our bags after being there for a couple of hours and booked ourselves in somewhere else."

  • "Not impressed"

    03 September 2012

"We visited Limpopo Lodge the first of September 2012. We were NOT impressed with the self catering unit and will not visit the lodge again."

  • "The worst place ever"

    28 May 2012

"Truly speaking, the place is like a pig sty. I have never seen such a filthy place. The management of the place maybe they have lost interest in running the place."

  • "Buli Khumalo"

    11 December 2011

"What a disappointment. We could not stay the night. The place is far from anything you see on internet. We were offered a backroom not even a maid could stay in. The were spiders on the wall. The bathroom door was a dirty curtain. The place was terrible and we told the manager that Ruan that we were not happy about his place. He could not be bothered. I was really disappointed to have spend my money on this place. We found a lovely guest house in the area with excellent customer service. It was home away from home."

  • "Recommended"

  • "value for money"

    24 July 2011

  • "Limpopo Lodge"

    13 December 2010

"We did not stay at Limpopo Lodge as booked and confirmed the booking. On arrival to the lodge Ruan told us the lodge that he had booked for us was taken. I emailed him the day before and assured him that we would be there to pay cash for the accommodation by 3.00pm. We arrived there at that time. Ruan had taken us to a lodge called Howicks Pub and Grille he had given us two lodges which were very, very comfortable and we have a lovely time while we stayed there. Thank you for everything."
