Nkwazi Lake Lodge is situated within the Pongola Game Reserve South in Northern Zululand. Nkwazi is set on a hillside overlooking the Pongola River and is the perfect place to combine the excitement of Tiger fishing and game viewing with the tranquillity of the bush and panoramic views.
The reserve caters for the discerning nature lover, offering game drives, boat cruises, guided walks, rhino tracking and canoeing. The lodge accommodates 32 guests in twelve twin-thatched chalets and two family chalets. All chalets have air-conditioning, minibar fridges and tea-and-coffee making facilities.
The rates include dinner, bed and breakfast or brunch if you prefer. The cuisine is typically South African, with a variety of venison dishes prepared and presented in the boma or the open-plan dining area overlooking the river.
Although we allow children at Nkwazi, the high elevation and unfenced swimming pools does not make it a child-friendly lodge. Children are the parents full responsibility.
Nkwazi Lodge is the ideal setting for corporate conferences and team building, combining work and play effortlessly. Our conference centre is fully equipped with all modern facilities.
"My husband and I stayed for two nights in Nkwazi Lake Lodge. The accommodation is simple and clean, with an amazing view of the lake. The service is really good, food is delicious and we would really recommend taking a boat safari, watching the animals and birds from a boat gives such a different perspective. Thank you to all at Nkwazi, particularly Dumi, Loraine, Dolly, Barley and Maxwell. You all made our stay very special."
"<div>As usual, our stay in the Pongola Game Reserve was very relaxing and most pleasant. It is, however, very sad to witness the drought stricken bushveld and the astonishingly low water level of the rivers and the Jozini Dam.</div><div>We will go back again once the rains have returned.</div>"
"We had a lovely two night stay at the gorgeous Nkwazi lodge. The views are wonderful, food delicious and the staff were very welcoming and helpful. We did a boat cruise one evening which was well worth it, we saw loads of animals and the highlight was watching the sunset from the water.Highly recommended."
