The Beach House is a luxurious 1870s historical home that promises a unique stay in the picturesque town of Port Nolloth, which is known for its pristine beaches and fishing and diamond harbour.The Beachhouse offers guests a choice of two separate units; the House and the Cottage.

Both of the units are equipped with full DStv and Wi-Fi. The House is furnished in a combination of modern and antique with three comfortable bedrooms. The main bedroom is furnished with a king-size bed with an en-suite slipper bath and shower, both enjoying a sea view.

The second bedroom is the family room which is furnished with a double bed as well two triple bunk beds. The third, spacious bedroom has a double bed. The two rooms share the use of bathroom with a double shower and toilet.

The large kitchen is fully equipped with filtered water, a gas stove with electric oven, a microwave and a table that seats eight people. The separate scullery is furnished with a washing machine, a dishwasher and a double door fridge-freezer. The lounge contains big couches and enjoys a stunning sea view. Walking through antique double doors, you enter a dining room seating twelve. With its unique position and wrap-around veranda and built-in braai area, the home offers panoramic 180 degree views of the harbour and beaches.

The Cottage does not have sea-views since it's situated behind The Beachhouse.
The Cottage has an en-suite bedroom looking out on the garden and is furnished with a double bed. The bathroom consists of dual showers and a separate toilet. The kitchen has a built-in braai and is fully equipped with a four-plate stove and oven and a fridge-freezer. It also has a dining room table that seats four people.

The spacious lounge has comfortable arm chairs and couch which can be made into a king-size bed or two single beds. Double doors open onto a private garden. Garage and on-site laundry available .

The Cottage sleeps two people or a family of four as it only has one en-suite bathroom. The Cottage has a minimum stay of three nights unless booked in conjunction with the House.Children from the age of 3 - 10 will receive a 33% discount.

    "I enjoyed my stay although a few things were not up to standard. The cottage was really not very clean. There was hair stuck in the shower drain, the basin still had small toothpaste spots and the kitchen floor was very dusty. Most of the mugs had chips in and still had coffee stains in them. Other than this the clean bedding, fully equiped kitchen, indoor braai, and the location of the cottage contributed to a relaxing stay."

    "We had a very pleasant two-night stay in Port Nolloth at the Beach House. The owner Irene is a very nice lady and was very helpful. The house is like a 'home away from home' and extremely well-equipped. We could get most of what we needed in the small town and did quite a bit of exploring the surroundings. Interesting museum where George is a walking encyclopedia of the town's history. Adjoining McDougal Bay was also very scenic and has a very protected lagoon. We had a couple of good meals at Vespetti right on the seafront, bringing our own wine. Next time I'll bring a boat."

    "The location is great, a few footsteps from the beach, just around the corner from town. Spacious, homely, comfy, has reverse osmosis tap in the kitchen. Only gripe I had, the house was not spotless clean as there where still cleaners in the house when we got there after 14:00, which is the correct check-in time... other than this, great place to stay!"

We were really impressed. The house is beautiful, cosy and comfortable. It has been nicely renovated and lovingly furnished and decorated. It has new bathrooms which match the style of the house. The house is huge, can sleep 12, yet is affordable enough for a couple. It has an amazing verandah from which you get beautiful sea views - the perfect spot to eat your meals or read a book. The garden and courtyard are lovely, Irene has been a very creative gardener. She is a wonderful host and we really felt at home. The house is fully kitted out, the kitchen is wonderful, there was nothing more that we could've asked for. The beach is literally across the road and it's a short walk into town along the ocean front. Highly, highly recommended!</span>"

    "If you're in a group (family / friends) and travelling up the West Coast, don't miss The Beachhouse in Port Nolloth. Stunningly furnished and so warm and welcoming, You'll wish you had booked for longer (as we did). There is oodles of accommodation - the master suite is superb, there's another bedroom with double bed and there's a third bedroom with double bed plus at least 8 bunk beds for a huge number of kids. The Beachhouse has that real farmhouse feel and is extremely tastefully decorated with a mixture of old and new. It's right on the beach front too. Only negative (nothing to do with the Beachhouse), Port Nolloth gets a lot of wind! If you're looking for a great place to eat, we thoroughly enjoyed Anita's Grill."

What stood out was the extra mile Irene went to during our stay with providing internet access and help sending and receiving E-mails in an emergency situation. She also assisted in drying our washing during a cold and overcast day after we did the washing with the machine provided but could not get it dry by hanging it on the washing line. Very nice stay and we would recommend the house to anyone that would like a comfortable and well looked after place to stay."
