Set on the banks of the Berg River in Velddrif, the Riverhouse offers luxury West Coast accommodation for up to eight (8) guests.
Velddrif, which started off as a small fishing community, is a popular destination for family holidays, fishing trips, water sport events and much more.
Just off the Riverhouse's veranda, you'll find the Laaiplekslipway, also known as Rooi baai) where locals launch their fishing boats and often return from sea with hulls filled to brim with the day's catch.

12 January 2022"We loved it from the moment we walked in. Were obsessed with the indoor/outdoor living experience by keeping the stacker doors open and looking out onto the water. The sunsets are beautiful! The accommodation was neat, clean and spacious. It had everything we needed. I dont have 1 bad thing to say. We would love to go back."

08 August 2018"Amazing view of the river, jetty and daily procession of birdlife playing out from the comfort of the patio. <br/><br/>Great venue for a family or anyone seeking contact with nature. Lovely walks along the salt marsh and fishing from the nearby pier. Access to shops, resturants and markets. and the flower displays in season. Peaceful ccommodation, outside braai area with indoor fire place and comfortable beds with plenty of space.<br/> At times a whiff of the sea from the nearby fish factory but not overwhelming. 13 March 2017"My second visit and as brilliant as the first. Nothing better than to watch the birds, fishermen and locals walking their dogs. Everyone is so friendly. A glass of wine watching the sky turn amazing colours in the evening...what more can you want?"

It was amazing waking up to the smell of fresh air and chirping birds. Our only regret was having to leave so soon. We will however be making a trip back and hopefully for a much longer stay!"
