  "My wife and I have mainly enjoyed the view that Jungle Monkey offers, we could see mountains, the Aloe room was very much fine. The swimming pool was also another awesome feature. I just can't wait to revisit the place again."

  "We camped at Jungle Monkey and was very impressed with the cleanliness and quality of the establishment. We were free to do whatever we felt like and we appreciated the quiet gardens, serene pool and good vibes. Nobody bothers you and you can just relax."

  "They need to buy proper blankets for guests in fact whole bedding nje was horrible. Not to mention bath towels. Old old old and warn out and torn. Ha a not good. The owner is old and have old people issues like dont park here park there. It was not really a big deal. On the plus. The place is beautiful and safe with a very nice entertainment cafe."

  "This is backpackers, but the condition has to be improved. At Gecko and Cow dorms they are not looked after. Curtains are torn, some windows are unable to be closed. There are mosquitos, please attend to them. Otherwise the stay was nice I can recommend to my friends and will come back."

  "Our stay was a disaster from the start. first of all we did not get what we booked, then they wanted to put us up with other people in other rooms, and then we had to pay more because according to them the quote we got was only a deposit. Will not stay there again at all"

  "Good place to stay, we had the double African room which was spacious enough for two. The shared bathroom and toilet were very clean and equipped with all necessities. Breakfast and dinner meals served at the bar are nice and not expensive. The staff is very friendly and it's easy to feel at home here.In town there aren't really places to go out for dinner or have a drink. The bar at jungle monkey is always cozy though and the entertainment by local performers is also very nice!We didn't get the chance to go on an organized trip, because we would have to use our car since the 'guide' couldn't drive himself.The trip to the sulphur pools is NOT worth it by the way. They are very dirty and we didn't want to stay there longer then 5 minutes."

  "Awesome staff, nice bar, nice trip offers, nice rooms, amazing view, clean bathrooms, creative design. Kitchen Facilities might need a little more equipment, the restaurant food was not that nice (except for the pizza!) I'd definitely recommend this backpackers!"

  "Ek kan n boek skryf maar gaan dit kort hou......as jy net jou kamer kry wat jy voor die tyd bespreek en betaal het is dit al n goeie begin. Is uiters teleurgesteld met wat die web tuiste voorgee en hoe dit regtig is. Ek gee hul die eer hul kamers en badkamers is skoon,buite storte kort egter aandag is onveilig met die elektriese bedrading."

  "Friendly staff and nice community area. Laid-back atmosphere with camp fire and nice bar with live music. Rooms could be cleaner and the bathing beach is a bit far. We stayed two nights in the garden hut, which is nice but a bit cramped."

  "We travelled from JHB to Eastern Cape for a week and stayed over at Jungle Monkey Backpackers for two nights. WHAT A MAGICAL EXPERIENCE! The accommodation was set in the most beautiful surroundings and the people radiate a wonderful and relaxed energy. Thank you guys for making our stay the most wonderful and a truly memorable experience! We will definitely recommend your establishment to all our friend and colleagues in Gauteng. We left Jungle Monkey Backpackers newly inspired. Next time we will be booking some of the activities and stay a lot longer."
