Umngazana Cottage

Umngazana Cottage is a peaceful self-catering cottage situated along the wild coast, 40 km drive from Port St Johns and only 90 m from the beach. There are beautiful rock pools to cool off in, which are always popular with kids, as well as a safe gully to swim in.

The cottage can comfortably accommodate up to seven guests. The main bedroom and the third bedroom each contain a double bed. The second bedroom contains a double bunk, and the last room contains a single bed.

The kitchen is well equipped for self-catering and includes a stove and oven, a freezer, a microwave, a washing machine, and a fridge-freezer. In addition, there is a breakfast bar and stools. The comfortable lounge area features a TV with DStv capability, should you wish to bring your own decoder and smart card.

Rock-, surf-, and estuary fishing are all just a stones throw away; and the Umngazana River is ideal for boating jet skiing and swimming. The estuary has three types of mangroves and you can enjoy viewing the wildlife, birds, mud crabs, and mud hoppers. In season, there are plenty of crayfish, prawns, oysters and mussels being offered for sale by the local women. Licences are required.
