"Hi, the cottage is wonderful , well furnished and beautifully decorated. We loved the fact that you have your own private space.Unfortunately there was a lot of cockroaches. You may have a small infestation. Kind regards,"
"On our way back from the Garden Route we decided to travel through some of the beautiful passes in the Karoo and to stay in Prince Albert for a night. Brakdakkie Guest Cottages are simply delightful, making full use of ancient farm buildings and turning them into a fascinating private spaces. The thick walls of the old building maintained a cool interior while the little splash pool outside allowed us to really cool off in the summer heat! We had everything we needed to enjoy our evening and we would have stayed another night, if it had been available. This is definitely worth a visit and highly recommended."
"Quaint and cute, just pack in mosquito spray."
"Alles wat jy nodig het en nog meer. Het dit geniet!!"
"We loved the way the room and bathroom were decorated. We enjoyed experiencing the small town of Prince Albert.Dinner was very good at Camilla's Kitchen."
"We really enjoyed the ambiance and our stay"
"We had another wonderful stay at Brakdakkies! Our children enjoyed visiting the ducks and playing in the old car, while we drank port on the stoep. Our cottage was clean and very well-equipped, with good quality linen and kitchen utensils, and we were very snug despite the chilly karoo night. It's great to stay in a place where so much care has been put into appearances."
"We loved our stay and will visit brakdakkie again and again and again... LOVE the decor and home feel"
"Wonderful and most interesting accommodation!<br/>Thank you!"
"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Brakdakkie. The accommodation is very beautiful and creatively decorated in a traditional Karoo style, yet with a contemporary feel to it."
"Very small. Lots of noise eg dogs incessant barking and not very friendly owners. Did not feel at home!"
"Really nice cottage on a large plot in a quiet part of town but just a few minutes from everything. It is equipped with all you need for a self catering stay and has a small plunge pool which comes in very handy on those hot Prince Albert days. Would definitely stay again and recommend.<br />"
"The establishment is an inspiration as to how one can repurpose stuff ,of all sorts.<div>Well done, it worth a visit.</div>"
"A lovely quaint Room full of unusual arty bits. A little shy on self-catering facilities but other than that great."

"How wonderful to stay in a cottage more than 150 years old! If this cottage could speak I am quite sure it will be a best seller in book form! Clean crisp sheets and very friendly owners. Really enjoyed the old world."
"My wife and I had an amazing stay at Brakdakkies. So much so that we are planning a larger expedition with family and Brakdakkie is definitely one of the planned overnight stops.Friendly Hosts, clean room, incredibly creative decor, what more could one ask for?Recommended."
"Comfortable but the shower is temperamental."
"Lovely clean accommodation with a little something special! The town of Prince Albert is well worth the visit too."
"We really enjoyed staying at these lovely cottages, especially the carefully considered decor and clean white spaces. It worked well for an overnight stop-over. The farm-like setting is very pretty and welcoming. The plunge pool is a nice touch. We will be back! It looks and feels like a lot of care and effort have gone into setting the cottages up."
"We had an absolutely great stay at Brakdakkie! Very quaint, stylish, spotlessly clean, great location and great people who run the cottages. We can't wait to go back, will definitely recommend - Thanks!"
"Lovely "different" experience, especially if you like antiques. TV would have been nice as nights could be boring if you are traveling with kids. Was looking forward to soaking in the splash pool but still a bit chilly. Kids took lovely photos with all the interesting "prop", had an enjoyable stay, nice to walk into a clean place!"
"Dit was die mees onverwagte lekkerte. Die huisies is kunstig en pragtig en die beker vars melk in die yskas 'n bonus. Ons sal defnitief weer gaan."
"We appreciated the attention to detail in the decor of this cottage and also in the little extras provided (milk, juice etc). Would like to return someday."
"We only stayed one night at Brakdakkie. It was very cold at the time with a thin drizzle. I think the cottage would be far more pleasant in warmer weather."
"It is a charming beautifully done room with lovely facilities. It was just damn cold!! Pity there was no fire place in the room. The hot water bottles were a great touch, definitely will come back in the summer."
"A very enjoyable stay in a typical Karoo house."
"Dit was baie goed en ons het lekker gebly. It was very good and we had a great stay."
"We loved Brakdakkie and Prince Albert. A wonderful cottage, beautifully decorated, clean and homely. Kerri was welcoming and very helpful. First of many visits to the Karoo."
"A great place to stay. Perfectly appointed room, friendly people and a collection of bric-brac that made us salivate. Proof that the old is perfectly new with the right arrangement. Reflects the nature of Prince Albert - history with a lot to offer the traveller. Warrants more than an overnight stay, I'd say three days at least."
