Kredouw Olive Estate is a small attractive farm lying in the base of the Kredouw Pass in the exquisite Prince Albert Valley, on the R407 between Klaarstroom and Prince Albert.
On the estate we have three self-catering cottages. It is as beautiful as it is comfortable, with spectacular views of the Swartberg Mountains and the orchards. There is a lovely Karoo swimming pool available for our guests and an interesting shop , where our guests can do an olive oil tasting and have good coffee on the stoep. We are very happy to show our guests the farm, the olive oil factory and the orchards.
We do not allow pets on the farm, due to the presence of the almost extinct Riverine Rabbit on the farm.We do everything we can to aid this animal's conservation. There is no cellphone reception on the farm. We have WI-FI at the Main house and the offices, if need be.
"Great house(old farmhouse), beautifull farm, location is great.Enjoyed the tour and olive oil tasting.Louise and Ian goes the extra mile to make your stay enjoyable"
"We stayed in the Frantoia cottage for one night and only wish it was longer. The owners welcomed us and were super friendly and generous. The cottage is beautiful and spacious and there is a long pool with stunning views on the surrounding mountains that we could use. It's close to Prince Albert but offers the privacy of a more remote location. The estate also sells olive oil, nuts and other goodies in a little shop. We will definitely return for a longer stay."
"We stayed in Frantoia - beautiful cottage! The farm is undergoing renovations so there was a bit of work going on, for which the owners were apologetic, but it didn't impact on us at all. The cottage was welcoming, with a little tin of olive oil for us and some nuts and a nutcrackers, magazines, oranges, and even a litre of milk in the fridge! It felt very luxurious, at an affordable price. Ian told us that the tap water was the best we'd ever drink, and he was right! Prince Albert is not far away and is a wonderful town. Coffee at the Lazy Lizard was a delight. We will be back to explore more of the area soon!"
