Varslug Gastehuise

The Varslug Guest houses are situated in the heart of the Ruens, and provide that much needed relaxation and quiet enjoyment.

Each house has its own unique feel with beautiful views of the surrounding farm lands, animals and occasional wild buck. Two of the houses sleep six, and the remaining house is suited for two, whether for a romantic getaway or just a relaxing weekend away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.

The general style and decor is rustic, homely and comfortable; spaansriet ceilings outside, wooden latte, cement floors, rough walls, good mattresses and linen, and nice personal touches scattered here and there. The living areas are open-plan and feature well-equipped kitchens, fireplaces and convivial dining tables. Each house has its own stoep where you can enjoy that morning coffee or evening glass of red.

All houses have an indoor braai area, making them ideal for winter weather, spent best while snuggling under the covers while enjoying each others company. A further stone's throw leads to a farm dam that provides a great place to soak in those late afternoon Overberg views.

Between braaing, enjoying the dam, and general kicking back on the stoep, the farm has loads of scope for walking, mountain biking, bird-watching, and visiting the surrounding attractions like De Hoop nature reserve, Greyton, Arniston, Struisbaai etc

Fire wood comes complimentary with each house, fresh farm chicken and meat are also available on request. Varslug is truly ideal for families or group of friends.
