  "Acara is ine of the best locations we have ever been in South Africa. Fiona and Dave are perfect hosts, present when you need them. The cottages, the garden and the pool, all in very good condition and well maintained. A nice scenery with the surrounding mountains. We will stay there again and recommend it to our friends."

  "We thoroughly enjoyed our two days at Acara, which was far too short. The gardens with all the birds, are magnificent, the view stunning, the accommodation very comfortable and mine hostess charming and helpful. Having "working stables" was an added bonus. My wife and I have travelled to Stellenbosch many times over the years staying frequently in B&B's in the districtvisiting our children at the University and Acara is the best we have stayed in."

  "Lovely, clean and comfortable accommodation.Jacaranda Suite has a great extra long king-size bed.Good location for exploring the Winelands.Fiona and Dave were most gracious and Fiona's recommendation of Taste restaurant for dinner was spot on.One of the best dinners we've had in South Africa."

  "We had a very nice and peaceful stay at Acara. The suite was beautiful and more than we expected (under floor heating and heated towel rail was a big surprise!). The owners were very friendly and helpful. Even though we weren't there much during the day, the evenings were quiet and we were never bothered by noise either from the other suite or the main house."
