Smugglers Cove Cottage

Step out of Smugglers Cove Cottage in the Lagoon Cabanas complex straight into a lush tropical garden with a sparkling pool.

The cottage is literally 56 paces from both the beach and the Southbroom lagoon, which can be reached from the pedestrian gate in the garden. The self-catering unit, with lock-up garage, is situated within a secure complex. Smugglers Cove can accommodate a maximum of five guests and is ideal for a family of two adults and up to three children. THE COTTAGE CANNOT ACCOMMODATE 5 ADULTS. The cottage is tiled throughout and contains two bedrooms. The main bedroom, with ceiling fan, contains two three-quarter beds pushed together to form a king-sized bed, and has a seating area and double French doors which lead out onto the garden. There is a small dressing area off the bedroom leading into the en-suite bathroom which has a bath, basin and toilet. The second bedroom, with ceiling fan, contains a single bed, a double bunk bed, a wardrobe and a chest of drawers. This bedroom is en-suite to a second bathroom containing a shower, basin and toilet. The lounge, with ceiling fan, is equipped with a TV (with DSTV available provided guests bring their own decoder and smart card), plenty of cane furniture, and double French doors which lead out onto the patio and garden. There is also a dining nook with a six-seater pine table. The kitchen is fully equipped with a fridge, electric stove, microwave oven, as well as cutlery, crockery, pots and pans sufficient for 5 persons.

Smugglers Cove also features outdoor garden furniture and a portable barbecue for relaxed outdoor entertaining. A shopping centre, laundromat, restaurants and golf courses are all just minutes away.

"The property is well maintained and well equipped. However although there are 5 beds it is not suitable from more than 2 adults and two small children. The biggest letdown was that the main bedroom does not have a double bed and it is quite cramped. If the weather is great the size does not matter but not if there is bad weather."

"I was pleasantly surprised with this little cottage.Me, my wife and our two adult children enjoyed the beautiful beach, literally a stone throw from the cottage. The pool is also very refreshing and reasonably private if you just want to quickly cool down in the evening.If you have to stay indoors too long then the cottage may start to feel a bit cramped, but for us the idea of a holiday is to get out as much as possible.Those with low vehicles should just turn into the entrance carefully as the entrance slope may cause your vehicle to scrape. As a personal preference, I would not have made the toilet, bath and basin dark brown.If we have the opportunity we will definitely return for a future stay."

"Unit was very dirty on arrival, spider webs everywhere. Locks and keys are very old and locks very difficult to open. Garage door lock not working properly and door extremely difficult to lift. No light in the garage. Furniture is very old, some chairs being held together with insulation tape. Bathrooms are terrible. Fittings are so outdated and mismatched. Shower head in second bathroom flops down all the time. Cannot take a descent shower. 2 single beds in main bedroom. what a joke. mattresses extremely hard. Fridge cannot be set colder. At the price we paid we expected a lot more. Saw other units in same complex that are in much better condition. I could never recommend this unit, not even at half the price."

"Had a wonderful stay at Smugglers Cove! A real home, clearly much loved by the owners. It's fully equipped, we lacked for nothing. It is old fashioned but in a nice homely way. Could do with a bit of a spruce up, but honestly we had no problems.<div>Perfect location just next to a lovely beach which was less crowded than the main beaches. But there were lifeguards and could swim there. On one side is the lagoon and the other side is the sea - best of both worlds.</div><div>From the cottage we could hear the sea, but not see it. But that was just fine. Lovely pool and friendly neighbours. Cottages were pretty quiet and the big advantage of this one is that it's right at the end of the row, closest to the sea.</div><div>We were very happy indeed.</div>"

"Had a lovely time with my family at the cottage. Pool was sparkling and appreciated the privacy. Stores were so conveniently situated, we were short of nothing. Was impressed with the well-equipped kitchen. Was great to roll out of bed and land at the beach. Will definitely stay longer next time!"
