La Bri Guesthouse

La Bri Guesthouse is a beautiful Cape Dutch homestead dating back to 1854, situated close to the picturesque village of Rawsonville, in the Breedekloof Valley.

Accommodation consists of three large en-suite rooms, of which two have attached rooms with an extra single bed in each. There is a large self-catering kitchen and a spacious living area with a fireplace. Relax on the beautiful verandah with seating overlooking the vineyards.

The rooms can be let independently or the whole house can be let for a larger group of people. The area has a lot of wineries where guests can go for wine tasting experiences. Stay at La Bri for your wedding night or take beautiful photos in the vineyards or in the gardens under the large trees.

"We were so surprised to find that the house was situated in a vineyard, which I didn't originally know from the pics on the site. Extremely beautiful! Carina gave us a very warm welcome and directions to a restaurant in town. The house is massive and our room had enough space for way more than only two people (easily 4). Everything was very comfy and neat. <br/><br/>We were a bit freaked out but the fact that you share the house with guests in two other rooms, but there are no locks on the bedroom doors. Especially since we had to leave valuables like an expensive bicycle in the room. That's about the only thing I would change. <br/><br/>Apart from that, it's a beautiful place, with a breathtaking view. Best to take everything along that you might need though (food wise) as there aren't proper shops close by and Rawsonville is really tiny. Relaxing stay!"

"This is a very beautiful old house with the necessary upgrades done to the bathrooms. We were lucky to have the use of the full house but I don't see that it would have been any different had there been other people there as the house is very spacious.I loved the little extra touches from rusks to Panado and plasters. The rooms were clean and the bed very comfortable. Would definitely use it again."

"My room, en suite bathroom and especially the shower were very spacious, clean and inviting. The white linen was nice and luxurious. The organic tea bags and delicious rusks made a nice night cap. So quiet, had a beautiful restful night on a good bed. I was made to feel very welcome and will certainly return."

"Baie mooi ruim huis met alles wat jy nodig het. Is baie sentraal gelee en die omgewing is baie rustig . Is aanbeveel vir enigiemand wat lief is vir die natuur maar tog naby die dorp wil wees."

"We enjoyed our stay at this Guesthouse which has the most stunning views from the front and the back of the house. The highlight was the front covered patio/stoep with stunning views across the vineyards and of the mountains. The fireplace in the lounge is a great bonus. I would recommend that would be provided for the fire though. We did however, find the rooms to be cold at this time of the year, and would recommend an additional heating panel in the big rooms and one in the small rooms as well. Overall, it was a good stay and value for money."
