Forest Hills Cottages

Forest Hills is the perfect place for couples, families and nature lovers to relax and unwind. We offer casual self-catering accommodation set in private indigenous gardens and lawns that lead to the natural forest . Paths from the gardens lead you to a short circular walk around the property through forest, fynbos, passed a dam and a large lookout deck on the edge of the forest. If you are lucky you may catch sight of the bushbuck, boar, caracal, monkeys and baboons that visit Forest Hills. The knysna lourie can often be seen with a flash of red as it swoops along the forest edge and at times fish eagles call from up high. A true birders paradise.

Facilities include a large swimming pool with a slide and trampoline.
Forest Hills is also pet friendly.

We are conveniently positioned 15 minutes from Knysna, Buffalo Bay and the National forest. The forest offers several day hikes and mountain bike tracks as well as picnic spots along the river. Buffalo Bay is a prefect swimming beach and has extraordinary unspoiled stretches of coastline to walk.

"Great place. We were impressed with everything about the cottage. Clean, comfortable with a beautiful view. The kitchen was fully equipped and the little touches like small soaps, two-ply and body washes was appreciated. Two friendly pooches who came and spent some time with us made for an altogether great stay. Thank you, we will be back! "

"We had the most wonderful stay at Taaibos, back at work and I am already planning my return trip, everything is just perfect, from the huge kitchen to the outside deck overlooking the pool and the mountains. I also loved the visits by the Dogs and Cats, as well as the Chickens, the Cock is extremely accommodating and I only heard him crow once, after 11am."
