Walkerbouts Inn Rhodes is a Three Star fully licensed, pet friendly, spacious home-from-home with six en-suite bedrooms located in the historic village of Rhodes in the Barkly East district of the Eastern Cape Highlands. We pride ourselves on home-cooked meals kook-kos using as far as possible, locally produced meat, vegetables and herbs.

The Highlands are an outdoor paradise with access to more than 200km of fly-fishing within an hours drive of the village as well as guided rock are tours, 4x4 routes, Alpine flowers in summer, snow, skiing in winter, horse-riding, mountain biking and much more.

"My wife and I stayed at Walkerbouts for two nights in April. Service was good and the food superb. We had asked the Chef, Marie, whether we could keep our dairy products in her fridge because we were on a LCHF diet - no problem. Blow me down if she doesn't go out of her way to provide us with one of the tastiest Banting-friendly suppers we have ever been served, without our asking for it! Would go back if only for her culinary skills. Pity we could not have a hot shower due to the lack of water pressure."
