Bloemhof Karoo

Bloemhof Karoo is a historic home, once owned by Professor Christiaan Barnard. This bed and breakfast rests graciously amongst kopjes on a working farm in the malaria-free Northern Cape, Great Karoo.

With three guest rooms and three bathrooms, the house can comfortably sleep up to eight guests.
The Oxwagon Room is a romantic spacious room for a couple, but can also comfortably accommodate 2 children. There are two dining rooms and a sunroom, where guests have the opportunity for privacy or communal enjoyment. Guests can relax in the lounge, where there is a well-stocked bar.

The lounge opens onto a protected braai area. the farmstead has a wonderful wrap-around Stoep. There are seating areas outside under enormous pepper trees, and guests can refresh themselves in the farm swimming facilities.."swemdam".
The Blue Room is situated in quaint farm outbuilding behind the farmstead, and is ideal for a family, or guests travelling with pets.

The bed and breakfast provides a range of activities, including a 40 minute guided Karoo walk, game drives on an adjoining private game reserve, picnics and sundowners. Great Hiking and cycling opportunities...fully supported.
