  "The stay was great. Room was clean and fresh. Staff friendly and helpfull. Unfortunately we onlt slept the night and left early the morning. Definitely will stay there again when traveling up and down from KZN to Cape town. ."

  "Our room was neat, clean & tidy. There was a lovely hot shower, fresh towels & fresh linen. We especially enjoyed the air conditioning on a hot evening & access to DSTV.My only improvement would be a few extra cups/mugs/plates& cutlery. A most satisfactory experience."

  "On the positive side:Clean room, some Dstv channels available, and the air conditioner gave relief to the heat. Need to be improved:When we arrived at 15:00 on 5 January 2018, we immediately reported the blocked drain when flushing the toilet in Room 2. The worker tried to unblock the main drain pipe at the back of the room, without any success. I noticed that the pipe (PVC) had a hole in it, and discovered that there was a second hole further down the pipe as well.It was clear that both these holes in the pipe didn't occur recently, and that there have been earlier blockages. The holes were made to try to resolve the previous blockages.It could be seen that these holes were at least more than two months, if not more, old.It is unacceptable that the management of this establishment did not try to resolve this problem prior to the peak season.The pipe should have been replaced before the peak period.The bad odor and stench that we had to endure made this stay very unpleasant.Please ensure that the pipe is replaced with a bigger pipe to prevent future blocked drains."

  "If you want the definition of poor service, stay at Ka-Ma Lodge. We where not very well received when we arrived after a long day of driving. The restaurant is just as bad. We tried to order dinner from the restaurant and asked if we can have it delivered to our room. We where told that couldn't and that we must be seated at the restaurant in order to have restaurant meal. However, I was told we could order a takeaway from the Cafe, but we weren't too keen on Russian roll and chips for dinner. The units are poorly stocked as well, we only had one knife to share between us. This place won't be seeing me again. The only positive for this establishment is that is affordable and convenient as a overnight stay."

  "The Lodge is well positioned as an over nite facility , cars and trucks driving through the night might keep you awake .The restaurant offers great food and reasonable prizes with excellent staff always willing to assist to make your stay as pleasant as possible , the Facilities ( Pool and Pool Table area ) was not as good and some general maintenance is required at the facility , Other than that you pay for for what you get."

  "You pay what you get for. Its suitable for a stopover when travelling along the N1 but nothing more. The garden and pool area are actually quite decent, and in mid winter the grass was still growing. Originally got placed in room 6 which was actually very nice, but the dstv wasn't working so they moved me to room 7 which I thought wasn't very clean. However it was enough for the night.I also found the lady in charge, I'm not sure if she was the manager or owner, to be unfriendly and a bit rude. A smile and a hi, how are you doing would have gone a long way..."

  "I have stayed at Ka-Ma several times in the past and will do so in the future! The rooms are always clean and well-equipped and beds comfortable. As it is right on the N1 there can be a bit of traffic noise but that almost disappears from around 9pm to the following morning. The food at the Ka-Ma restaurant is always good! As is the service! It will always be my first choice as an overnight stop-over in the area."

  "<p>We stayed over on our way back from Cape Town to JHB. First do not be fooled by pictures of nice garden on website, this is not what you are going to get. But the place was nice and tidy. Not as clean as we hoped for, the duvet was stained and bathroom sink smelled like a stuffed drain. But the room was tidy, and had everything we needed for an over night stop. WELL DONE.</p><p></p>"

  "The photographs on the webpage through which I made the booking is misleading, it showed a beautiful surrounding with even a palm tree which does not even belong to the lodge. The lodge is next to a shop of some sorts which is always cluttered with people. The receptionist was in a fluster and running around in circles because there were two couples booking more than one person. It took some time for her to figure out that we had actually paid for the rooms in advance. The rooms I booked were not available and I was given two other rooms, despite the fact that I reserved these two specific rooms. The security guard assigned showed us the rooms as we could not find them although it is a very small place. We eventually found them ourselves. Parking was totally inadequate and you could not park outside your room but had to negotiate with another guest that you share his parking. The food in the restaurant was very bad and I went for something safe like a hamburger. When we left the restaurant after dinner there were two men standing next to the restaurant urinating against a tree in full view of guests who were sitting outside. Security is very lax about this and could have been on the spot to stop this kind of behaviour. The TV's in both rooms did not work and despite a number of requests and subsequent promises it was never fixed"

  "Not bad, rooms needed to be aired, but it seemed safe and secure, super convenient right next to the highway, and the petrol station was attached to it so didn't have to stop anywhere else in the morning to get going. The swimming pool looked clean and the garden was quite inviting. Overall, a good overnight stop-off cross-country."

  "Baie dankie vir netjiese kamers; voorwaar 'n lekker oornagplek op 'n ver reis. Hulle het selfs vir ons die braaiplek voorberei asook ons pap vir ons gaar gemaak. Dankie! Thank you for these neat rooms; a nice overnight stop on a long journey. They even prepared the braai facilities for us and made raditional 'pap'. Thank you!"
