Eldorado Country House

Eldorado is a beautifully restored old Riebeek Kasteel home with five double bedrooms en suite, plus a separate adjoining cottage with two double bedrooms. Whether you are looking for reasonably priced accommodation for a single person, a couple, a family or a group of from 4 to 14 people, Eldorado is your answer.

The entire property can be booked (sleeping 14 in total), or either only the house (sleeping 10) or only the adjoining cottage (sleeping 4).

The house has been renovated and decorated in a relaxed, stylish country manner, with creamy plastered walls and earthy cement floor finishes. Comfortable rustic furniture and generously proportioned rooms make for an ideal getaway in a tranquil setting.

The kitchen and dining area is open plan. Both the house and cottage have fireplaces and DSTV Premium in both areas.

The airy and spacious bedrooms are fitted with quality linen and towels and all have en suite shower rooms, except the two in the cottage where a bathroom is shared. Three downstairs bedrooms in the main house have private entrances.

There is a braai and swimming pool in the courtyard and an off-street parking lot.

Riebeek Kasteel is a scenic haven and the beauty and serenity is often a source of inspiration for writers and painters. The vibrant community offers many restaurants, bistros and pubs for their visitors. The Kasteelberg Mountains are set among stunning olive groves and vineyards offering scenic beauty and wine tasting.

"Bare cement floors with only one small carpet in sitting area. No heaters. Only 5 WET stumps for fireplace when I've paid for 3 nights.<div>Advertised as self-catering but only</div><div>small tabletop 2-plate tiny oven stove and microwave with very limited utensils.</div><div>Bed, bedding and towels were nice as well as coffee, tea and rusks provided. Good for a one night stay or maybe in summer</div>"

Rooms are spacious and on-suite with one separate guest bathroom. Pool area has good braai facilities. Cottage part is separated from the other rooms by a lounge and has its own kitchen. "We booked the 2 bedroom cottage over the Olive Festival Weekend and had an amazing stay! The accommodation was spotlessly clean, had really large bedrooms, spacious lounge with open plan kitchen and is beautifully maintained. We were met on arrival by the host who was super friendly and made us feel right at home. It was great value for money as there were 4 of us and being a short stroll into town, perfectly positioned. We will definitely be back!"
