Shades of Provence is a guest house located in the center of the postcard pretty town of Riebeek Kasteel.
The guest house offers four en-suite rooms which feature TVs with DStv, tea and coffee-making facilities and air-conditioning. There are two kitchens and two lounges with two fireplaces, and a swimming pool. There is secure parking on the premises.

17 October 2019"We loved our night away. The decor is so pretty.The pool is a nice bonus and we enjoyed our swims to cool off. Lovely touches like the bubble bath and rusks for early morning coffee. The garden is fantastic. Cannot wait to go back soon!!!!"

05 July 2018"The entrance is a bit tucked away, not easy to see. The owner/manager was not there upon arrival. A clerk was there and she was uninformed about wi-fi password and other important issues. Furthermore, the room was OK, but very overrated."

12 December 2017"A lovely guest house centrally situated with all the amenities of home and good value for money. I really enjoyed to cool off in the pool as it was very hot during our stay. The cold bottle of wine in the fridge was also very welcome!"

04 June 2017"What a wonderful guesthouse. Beautifully decorated in a quiet street, but still within walking distance to restaurants and shops. We thoroughly enjoyed our 1 night stay in the Lavender Fields room. Only thing I had an issue with being a light sleeper is that the rooms are not very sound proof and we could hear the other guests come in (quite noisily!) rather late at night. This didn't bother my husband at all, so just a personal thing :)"

12 March 2016"The house is well designed and beautifully decorated with a lot of attention to detail.<br/>The outdoor garden, pool and braai area were an exceptional surprise and very spacious, attractive and clean. We were able to entertain a large party of fifteen family members who had all arrived from overseas for the family wedding that we were all attending, outside in this area. The rope ladder hanging from the big tree in the garden is a great touch and the children enjoyed it thoroughly. All of the guests at the pre-wedding party exclaimed how much nicer our accommodation was compared to theirs!!"
