If you are looking to escape the hustle and bustle of the city life, then our little country town and country getaway are both ideally located, within an hours and a halfs drive from Cape Town.

Accommodation is offered in three comfortable double rooms, and an elegant and spacious living area that contains a dining room, a lounge and a fully equipped kitchen, with a fireplace for the winter months and air-conditioning for summer time.

This country retreat was designed for people who enjoy entertaining with ample space inside for intimate dinner parties and outside on the veranda with a splash pool overlooking the garden; ideal for long summer lunches with friends and family.

Riebeek Kasteel is well situated, within an hours drive you can visit the beaches, mountains, vineyards and olive groves. Apart from the beautiful countryside the valley is surrounded with picturisque little towns like Tulbagh and Darling and if you are keen on a bit more, Wellington, Paarl and Malmesbury would be good choices and better still just around the corner.

Day trips can be arranged to nearby towns like Stellenbosch, Franschhoek, Paternoster as well as a bit further out to Cape Town, The Peninsula and Hermanus.

The Valley is wellkown for the Olive Festival which takes place the first weekend of May annually. The town takes on a festive atmosphere with loads to see, experience and off course to taste! AfrikaDroom is the perfect base for this weekend as we are walking distance from the town centre which gives you access to numerous restaurants and shops no driving required!
