Oudebosch Guest Farm Riversdal

Oudebosch is a guest farm situated halfway between Riversdale and Heidelberg against the slopes of the Langeberg Mountain range. We offer comfortable self-catering accommodation, horse riding, canoeing, mountain biking, quad biking, fresh water fishing and hiking.

There are three self-catering cottages; two of our cottages have been named after buck and our third cottage is the Barn Cottage. The Grysbok Cottage is a very cosy self-catering thatched cottage. The cottage has a fully equipped kitchen and has two bedrooms and one bathroom with a bath. The cottage has a living room with built-in fireplace and an undercover patio and braai. The Ribbok cottage is a beautiful thatched building with three bedrooms. Each bedroom has an en-suite bathroom. The house also has an undercover patio with braai. The old barn comes with the cottage when booked. Guests can use it for socializing and food preparation. The Barn Cottage is a neat and fully equipped self-catering flatlet with two bedrooms with built-in cupboards. This cottage has an outside braai on the grass.

This working farm offers the traveler a reviving and tranquil experience in a truly breathtaking and unspoiled natural environment. Take a leisurely stroll in the veld or explore the interesting routes on the farm with a mountain bike. We offer facilities for conferences, weddings and other functions. We also offer a range of activities on the farm, or just relax in our warm and relaxed accommodation.

"We travel a lot as a family and have stayed at many different places and I can recommend this 100%. We had a great stay even if it was only for 1 night. The owners look after their guests and you feel very much at home from the get go. beautiful and well kept farm. I would however recommend that Safari Now updates their directions as it is not very precise and if you don't know the surroundings or the area it can be very confusing especially because we only arrived in the dark.I would recommend Oudebosch 100% and I will definitely return for a longer stay in future!!!"

"The setting is really beautiful and the cottage was comfortable. The directions lacked distances and this caused some uncertainty - I suggest the establishment includes distances, expecially from the turn-off to the "small hill". The cottages are very close together - we had to listen to the neighbours' braai stories before we could go to sleep. Overall, we enjoyed the stay and the staff was very friendly."

"We only stayed one night but this is the kind of place where one could easily spend several days. Our cottage was delightful and contained everything that we needed to cater for ourselves. There are 23 km of gravel road from Riversdale, but it was not too bad and our sedan car managed well. It is a beautiful drive and the farm is situated right up against the mountains. We would definitely go there again."

"This was the most amazing stay ever!! Wonderful owners Pieter and Linda Muir, so friendly and effective. They go out of their way for you. The accommodation were of 5 star quality! Beautiful and clean rooms, bathrooms and kitchen. Upmarket furnishings and wonderful braai, stoep and view! I will recommend this to any-one in a heart beat.We wanted to stay for a week and we will definitely come back and bring our friends along."

Oudebosch offers really comfortable accommodation (with lots of attention to detail) and breathtaking views of the mountains. "We frequented a few guest houses during our road trip in the Western Cape and the Oudebosch Guest Farm Riversdal easily takes the top spot. The cottages were well equipped and in top condition, perfect for a couple or family. Linda and her husband were very kind and made us feel right at home. The pictures added on the booking page don't do the area or the farm justice. There are many opportunities for walks/hikes and Linda is happy to provide directions (note Springboks and Eeland roaming in the adjacent fields). We highly recommend Oudebosch Guest Farm Riversdal and will definitely be staying again when we find ourselves in the area."

"'Wow' is all we can say. We arrived late at night and left early in the morning so weren't able to enjoy this house to the fullest but we thoroughly enjoyed the short time we were there. Perfect location, perfect setting, amazing patio with awesome views and beautifully decorated interior. Linda was so friendly and helpful. We will definitely make this a return venue for a longer stay."
