Goedereede Guest Farm

Goedereede Guest Farm is situated eight kilometres from Robertson on a picturesque fruit farm. It is next to the Breede River and surrounded by majestic mountains and fynbos-covered hills. It is a working fruit farm where guests can join in the harvest and enjoy the fruit.

We offer a range of self-catering accommodation. All cottages have fully equipped kitchens, electric blankets, heaters and all bedding and towels are provided. They also have their own private braai areas. Our rates include braai wood for the first braai. We also have a large swimming pool for guest to enjoy.

The Breede River offers great fishing opportunities with a great stock of carp, bass, white fish and barbel, as well as canoeing in one of our kayaks. Birdwatchers can enjoy more than 150 recorded species on our farm, and there is ample space for hiking and biking in the surrounding area. Our guests return time and again, having enjoyed our hospitality and excellent facilities.

"Loved our stay at the Garden Cottage. It's a very sweet farm with a nice dam, and beautiful fruit orchards. We were very comfortable in our rooms. The only thing that could be improved is the kitchen equipment - it is quite limited. Nice aircon to keep cool on hot Robertson days and nights! Loved the friendly cat and dog as well :)"

"Away from the crowds. Lovely walking on the farm and not seeing other people. Open views across the valley to the mountains. Very quiet and tranquil. Having said that choose a weekend. Our cottage was attached to the tractor shed and rather noisy with huge doors opening/closing and tractors starting up weekdays. Saturday was lovely and quiet."

"A family group of us enjoyed a weekend stay at Goedereede. The little one loved the roosters and ducks and we all loved the beautiful setting and walks through the vineyards. "Well managed guesthouse with those little added extras(bottle of wine, bag of clementines on departure). Had a lovely time. Only downside was there is no housekeeping, so all dishes/bed making is left up to you - but apart from that, superb!"

"A friendly host welcomed us to the Garden Cottage. This is a well-equipped airy cottage which provided a very peaceful stay in a garden setting. This would make a great summer time venue when one could make full use of the lapa next to the dam."
