Situated within the Western Cape's scenic Franschhoek and Robertson, theLAB Guesthouses combine high-tech automation with much sought after eco-centric living. Powered by Solar Energy, and offering electrical bikes and scooter for hire, we take reducing our footprint very seriously. As part of theLAB suite of guest house eco-centric ethos, we use 'TheraVine' and 'Owls' products in our spas. These are both locally-sourced in the Western Cape and are friendly to nature.

"Rodesndal is perfect for a quiet, restful getaway. We stayed in one of the farm rooms, found it be an extremely relaxing weekend. The rooms are comfortable, the grounds are well kept and the environment was beautiful.<div><br /></div><div>We ate at the restaurant each night, and relaxed by the pool during the day, so hardly a need to even explore the towns nearby.</div>"

"While the staff was very friendly and the rooms were very comfortable and clean, I am not sure how this establishment received 4 stars.  We had a noisy stand alone fan in our room, and when switching on the ceiling fan, there was even more noise.  The plaster on the wall at the headboard was badly chipped, the floors were slippery with a towel on the floor on each side of the bed, as opposed to a mat.  Overall, the accommodation was average and rather disappointing.<br />"

"We enjoyed the views, food and our massages. All amazing, however we were not happy with the steam room which worked the first evening, however to our disappointment, stopped working for the rest of the time. The showers in our rooms had bad pressure and you could not find a happy medium between hot and cold. So either you had to have a freezing cold one or a very hot one. The rooms were in need of maintenance. Other than that we had a great time!"
