"The place is really old, from the beds to the showers! They need to renovate the place or close it down."
"Unfortunately, this booking had to be cancelled due to a change in my itinerary"
"I stayed at the Rosebank hostel for 4 days. The hostel is a good place for those like me visiting Johannesburg for a conference on a rather low self sponsored budget. It is organized as dormitory rooms but there are also single ensuite rooms like the one I stayed. The location is in Rosebank, a relatively classy and secure section of Johannesburg. The staff are very friendly. The premises are cleaned every morning, though the cleaning of my room was left to me. The bedding was very comfortable and I enjoyed the hot baths. Television services were available though only in the central lounge. On the whole I believe I had very good value for the low prices I paid."
"Dorms are not mixed but pretty OK. Kitchen doesn't work well and there is almost no equipment. And staff isn't helpful at all. <br/>By the way they don't know their onine offers, so if you want to go there, book online, it's 120R instead of 150R."
"Warm and welcoming. The staff were friendly and helpful. The rooms were very basic but lovely and clean. The price is well worth it if you are travelling on a tight budget. I would definitely recommend them as they are well situated and extremely convenient. There were some lovely clients from UK there for the cricket and we had a great chat and met new friends."
"The service at the place is cold and unwelcoming. Firstly they did not know I was coming, has to show my quote and online confirmation. Then the bathrooms were filthy and if that wasn't enough, I had cash stolen from my room the morning of my departure. I would not recommend this place to anyone!"
"The room we were given was too cramped for two adults and two children. Too many people sharing two tiny bathrooms."
"Easy to get to from gautrain, and on the bus route. Friendly staff very accommodating."
"We really enjoyed being at Rosebank Hostel. Had fun at the pool with my daughter and the whole surrounding area. The staff are warm and fabulous especially Karen who made our stay so memorable, she is loving and amazing. Khethiwe is loving, caring and wonder woman too and finally Darrly, who was extremely kind and was a blessing to us. I'll surely love to go back again or else recommend to those who need a place to stay in Rosebank area. Long live Rosebank Hostel!"
"The best value-for-money backpackers I've stayed at. Very friendly people. Will definitely use again when in Jozi."
