Ngiri Safaris is owner run and managed in order to give our clients the best possible experience. We are situated in the Dinokeng Big 5 Game Reserve. Game viewing is conducted by vehicle. We also offer Clay Pigeon Shooting, Archery and Intro to Scuba as well as Scuba courses. We offer three privately situated luxury self-catering family chalets, each accommodating 2 adults and 2 children. The units consist of a large en-suite bedroom with an offset kitchenette to the one side. Each chalet also has its own barbecue facility. In addition, there are two wooden chalets on stilts sleeping two people each, with en-suite bathroom, kitchenette and own private barbecue area. For those not wanting the hassle of cooking for themselves, there are restaurants nearby serving great food, and for those feeling lucky the Carousel Casino is just 20 minutes away. The swimming pool has been built for diver training and is three metres deep, with an average summer temperature of 28 degrees, without heating. Ngiri Safaris also features an on-site compressor, as well as fifteen sets of scuba gear for hire. It is a perfect venue for dive schools and independent instructors to conduct their pool sessions, and Naui diving courses are available on site.
"Had a very nice stay. The huts is clean and neat and equipped with everything you need. Enjoyed the weekend with our dog and had long walks."
"i really enjoyed my stay at ngiri safaris the place was clean and quite. the staff was friendly and welcoming."
"The conservation fee of R80 per person I thought that was expensive, moreover the booking confirmation said R40 per person. If you really want to charge at least R80 per car and include it in the accommodation fee. The cleaning service was charged at R30 per day of which checkout day was compulsory. I mean they will have to clean anyway on checkout just didn't understand why must we pay. The Game Drive was also a bit of a disappointment R250 and didn't see much animals."
"People were friendly and very helpfull"
"there is alot to tell you, the way we where treated was bad, nobody was at reception and all the stuff that we spoke over the phone was different when we arive there, then also you must pay some more money for the cleaning lady and also no place for you on game drive and then when we see the people there was only two persons on the vichle.i don't want trouble but i will never in my live go to that place again.the dishes was also not clean enough and i used my own cups"
"the quietness around the game farm and cleanliness. The bedding and bed is old. There is no privacy and you cant open the curtains until you have bathed and put on clothes - consider putting a divider between bed and lounge, and the shower drainage not good water piles up whiles one is bathing"
"We loved the accommodation and rested very well. I think what can be done more is to replace the bathroom towels every day, especially if you stay longer than 2 days."
"Would love to redo the interior. Otherwise very comfortable."
"We loved the chalet. The only thing that bothered us a bit was the fact that the bathroom has no door. No need to install a door, just hang a curtain."
"Cleanliness can be improved. If you charge an additional fee for cleaning you can empty the dustbin and clean the braai or at least provide the necessary tools to do it. Heather was supplied but no plug to fit the heater. Bedding can also improve."
"we couldn't get a restaurant close by, drove for more than hour around the location without any luck. We ended up eating Lays and Cold drink for supper otherwise the place is nice"
"Sadly when we arrived for check in, we were informed of a double booking (apparently a fault of SafariNow) and were down graded from a chalet to a log cabin (wendy house). The rand value was the same but there was a vast difference in comforts. The cabin was freezing . Besides this, all very pleasant."
"Accommodation is stunning the chalet is well equipped and really clean. Sue is an awesome hostess. The Game drive was really amazing and Sue goes out of her way to find all the animals. Fell in love with this place."
"Our stay was short but sweet, the staff are very helpful and the cabin had everything we needed. The hosts were welcoming and took us on a lovely game drive where we saw a lot of game, despite the cold weather. One thing I could suggest is a pamphlet or guide to the area to be placed in the guests room explaining self drive routes etc. Otherwise our stay was great and is recommended to others."
"Enjoyed our stay at Ngiri Safari, the rooms are private and clean. You get your peace and quite. It is the perfect place to get away from the city life"
"Cleanliness of the rooms could definitely be improved."
"the excellent service !!!!"
"Dit is nie wat mes book nie"
"We had a lovely stay and enjoyed the quiet bush experience. It was really peaceful and private - nice to be not too close to the neighbours."
"Ngiri is only an hour and a half's drive from Sandton and is therefore a fabulous weekend getaway in the bush. (Malaria free). We loved the peace and solitude there. We visited the Arlington Brewery and Cidery , in the Dinokeng Game Reserve, which was fantastic - the beers were great as well as the G & T's on tap! We ended up having lunch and then dinner there as Arlington were celebrating their first birthday bash that night!"
"Sue made us feel so at home and the unit was well looked after and supplied everything we needed"
"A pleasant stay, thanks"
"For me it was perfect just what I was looking for"
"We loved staying at Ngiri Safaris, it is quiet, clean and the owners are very friendly. I would highly recommend them!"
"Hi. Our stay was very nice and quite in the bush. A quick brake away from the city was just what we needed and the drive from Pretoria was short as well. Thanks"
"We had such an awesome relaxing weekend. Seeing a Rhino and her baby on the Game drive were one of the highlights and the the tame Mongoose, spending time with us at the pool were amazing. Thank you Andrew and Sue, we had a loveley time. See you soon."

"We enjoyed the tranquility, which allowed us to sit back and truly relax. We live very busy lifestyles and this gave us the break we needed."
"The environment was tranquil and peaceful and was both far from home and still felt like home... was dissappointed that the swimming pool was not open for use though. We also had a great experience on the game drive and got to see, 3 out of the big 5. Would definitely come again"
"the place is African, quiet and peace of mind"

"We had the absolute best time at this getaway. Andrew and Suzanne were so welcoming. We will definitely be back to this amazing reserve. The game drive was amazing and where in the world can you wake up to Impalas outside your door and Giraffe's outside the gate. Thank you Andrew and Suzanne for the most incredible weekend."
