Hillwatering Country House

This beautiful country house is set in the malaria free hills of Mpumalanga, South-Africa, situated only four hours from Johannesburg and 40 km from the Kruger National Park.

Hillwatering offers its guests very spacious bedrooms all of which have their own bathrooms and verandah which overlook the mountains and waterfall. Enjoy your English and continental breakfast, which is served either on the verandah or inside by the log fire, or take a picnic breakfast by prior arrangement and spend the day sight seeing the Big 5 in the Kruger National Park.

We take pride in offering you all the comforts of home and are on hand to help you plan your trips with our local knowledge. Self-catering is not available at Hillwatering Country House.

"We very much enjoyed our stay at 'Hillwatering Country House'. Our room was extremely spacious with a wonderful balcony and great views across the valley. Our hosts made us very welcome, the breakfast's were great, and an added bonus the bar fridge in the room with a cold beer and a glass of wine after your journey. We would most certainly reccomend this establishment to friends"

"We had three wonderful nights in Hillwatering.Hazel and Richard are very kind and our little daughter (14month) loved to play with their dog.Don't miss a dinner made by Hazel. She's a great cook."

"Richard and Hazel are friendly hosts providing the right atmosphere for holiday makers. It is a very good location for visiting the Blyde River Canyon area. The filling breakfasts set you up for the day and the evening meal we had was home cooking at its best. Hillwatering Country House is away from the main town, set in a quiet area with birds waking you in the morning. They have a very inquisitive and friendly Jack Russell dog which may not appeal to all. A place we would gladly return to."
