Saldanha Heights

Saldanha Heights is a self-catering apartment ideally located in the seaside village of Saldanha, which is only 110 km from Cape Town on the West Coast. Saldanha Bay is very popular amongst yachting enthusiasts and fishermen. Yellowtail and tuna are easy catches and snoek is available in winter. Other activities in the area include kitesurfing, deep-sea diving, whale-watching, hiking, and bird-watching.

The apartment can comfortably accommodate up to eight guests and comprises three bedrooms, two bathrooms, a lounge, kitchen and dining area. The master bedroom contains a double bed and a full en-suite with a shower, bath, toilet and basin. The second bedroom contains a double bed and the third bedroom contains twin single beds. In addition, there is also a bunk bed in the lounge area and one separate fully fitted bathroom with a shower, toilet, bath and basin.

The kitchen is fully equipped for self-catering and also features a breakfast bar with stools. The comfortable lounge area includes a TV with DStv and there is a dining table and stools. Outside, a large patio offers panoramic sea views, a picnic bench and braai facilities.

"Taking into account pictures posted on your advert and only mention of self catering apartment with listed facilities we were very disappointed ending up with your Adam and Eve bachelor flat .We feel that it is misleading as there was no mention of flats (as there is three) altogether, plus the main guesthouse as advertised.The overall rating for the bachelor flat is not even worth two stars...... We can only advise future holiday planners to make sure in advance what you see and pay for is what you get."

"The stay was such a great experience, the place itself was very neat. It felt like home away from home. Very nice place to escape to for a quiet weekend. The view from the room was amazing and I will recommend Saldanha at anytime. We are looking forward to returning there again."

"I think the accommodation was alright, I don't think they should specify that it sleeps 8 as having a double bunk in the lounge doesn't really make it value for money. Although we didn't use this space for anyone I feel it should be highlighted. The other thing is the third room has hospital style beds which are very uncomfortable. The last issue I had was at 21:15 on Saturday I had a knock on the door from the owner who helped himself in to explain that he need to put an extension cord out the second rooms window where our kids were sleeping as the church service needed electricity for 06:00 service. This means leaving the window open all night, no concern that the wind was howling and it was cold. This to me was a ridiculous request. Definitely not worth 1000 a night. The only upside is that my family and I had a great time."
