BY THE BEACH

By The Beach self-catering holiday home is situated in Salt Rock, North Coast, KwaZulu-Natal. By the Beach is a luxury self-catering holiday home that sleeps up to 12 guests (incl children over 2years) on the North Coast of KwaZulu-Natal. It is a flat 200m walk to the Main Salt Rock Swimming Beach, which is protected by shark nets and lifeguards.

The house consists of 5 bedrooms. The main bedroom has a king bed with a full en-suite. The 2nd bedroom has a queen bed with a shower en-suite. The third bedroom has a double bed plus a single bed and a sliding door opening to its own private garden area. The 4th bedroom has a queen bed with a door opening to the outside. This room adjoins a long, dormitory-style room that has three single beds. The 3rd and 4th bedrooms interlead into the dormitory room. These 3 rooms share a shower en-suite and a large dressing area.

The large, recently renovated kitchen, with separate scullery, is open plan to the spacious lounge and dining room. Sliding doors and windows open out to a covered outdoor entertainment area, wonderful for outdoor meals and to simply enjoying the views of the sparkling rock pool and tropical garden. There is a covered area which houses a gas braai and there is also an open braai in the garden by the pool and also a kettle weber braai (only for charcoal). The stream at the far side of the garden is lined with tall indigenous mangrove trees, which provides a private, serene, relaxing ambience and protection when the beach gets too windy. Although close to the beach, the house offers no sea views.

All rooms have overhead fans. Air conditioning on request in 4 of the rooms, please ask for info. There is uncapped fibre WIFI, a SMART TV with the full DStv bouquet and Netflix. The main and 2nd bedrooms have TVs. We do a weekly linen change and basic clean daily during the week. A dishwasher is provided for dishes and a laundry services on request.
