  • "A beautiful slice of paradise"

    14 January 2020

"Gregory and Lindiwe are both salt of the earth, humble, beautiful souls. The cottage they have created is both spacious and cosy, it is tastefully furnished with everything you need for a lovely break away from the maddening crowds. We loved the short, scenic walks to a beautiful, clean uncrowded beach and love that the whole area including vegetation and birdlife is preserved and looked after by the local community, truly an inspiring magical place and we are so grateful to have experienced it. Thank you for a wonderful stay!"

  • "Nothing!!!! This place is a wreck!!!"

    29 December 2019

"I literally walked in then walked right out left the keys where the owner could find it. The place is dirty... Smelled of old woid burnt smoke and was ramshackle and run down. I lost my whole R8000.00 left in tears abd had to find alternative accommodation elsewhere. My CT trip was ruined. I boasted to friends about Scarborough and trust me it was nasty and disgudting do not i repeat DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY GOING THERE."

  • "ikhaya eScarborough"

    05 April 2018

"A lovely peaceful stay. It was very hot so couldn't sleep with windows closed, so have a few mosquito repellent sticks or sprays available. Also, instead of just a duvet, a single flat sheet as well, especially in summer."

  • "Beautiful location"

    07 August 2017

"This cozy and spacious cottage is perfectly located close to the border of the reserve and is an easy 10-minute stroll down to the beach. Perfect for a short break. We loved the big affectionate cat Purrcy who paid us friendly visits whenever we were home. The human hosts were also very friendly!"

  • "Relaxing retreat at the beach"

    04 January 2012

"Interesting and engaging hosts. Comfortable beach cottage. Peaceful beach community. Located a short drive away from the restaurants, commerce, and activities of the larger seaside towns. A great place to get away from it all, or to use as a base from which to explore the Cape. Good for a couple or small family ."

  • "Very good and calm accommodation"

    18 November 2009

"We were here three days and had a really good time: The iKhaya eScarborough is a calm place and a nice african-styled house. The host is friendly, attentive and helpful! Good price-performance ratio."

  • "Refreshing weekend away"

    19 October 2009

"The pictures on the web don't do it justice. A very comfortable house with plenty of space and luxuries. The owners stay just next door and have a huge trampoline, pool and slide that you can use. Beautiful sunsets over the sea from your balcony, Long hot showers, walks to the perfect beach not far away. We really had one of our best, refreshing family holidays. Thank you!"

  • "Short stay was very sweet"

"Quaint, lavender-scented, neat as a pin and very reasonably priced - wish we weren't in such a rush and could only stay one night. Highly recommended."
