"The fan was making a hell of a noise. It should be replaced.It may be a good idea to cover the table with something transparent to make it even. It was difficult to make cups and glasses stand on the table.Replace the stove plates with spiral ones. It was taking ages to fry eggs and prepare some boerewors."

"The Toilet did not work, kettle leaked, 2 plate stove was rusted beyond usable, the complimentary shower gel bottles were empty and the bed was full of bed bugs .The she bin in the toilet was also not emptied at all in our stay. The last night of our stay my wife has shit fall from the rafters above on her pillow. This was the most unpleasant stay ever in my life and to top it all the Web site states B+B but they dont do breakfast but can book it extra for R95 per person / day. The pool was also green and dirty.This place was not worth the R900 / day we spent and would not recommend this place at all"

"I enjoyed the room I got. I would just like to express my disappointment in the actions of the owner, I had invited my relatives over for a braai as my sister was about to get married the next day and the owner was standing by the braai area reminding me of what time guests must leave, and the time was a little over 8 pm. We did not make noise, I played did not play any music, all we did was have conversations and eat. I had a couple of beers but last I checked its allowed at a bnb? If this lodge does not want guests to invite people why is there a braai area and why did they not make it known on their website that they dont allow visitors then I would have chosen another bnb. I also requested them to clean their pool as it was dirty, they never cleaned it. I conclude by saying it was my first and last visit at Wenseleydale Guest Lodge."

"When we arrived there was no one to open the gate, until some time of searching for the mobile number, only number we received for arrival was a landline, a mobile number was needed to contact Barbara, which we found on their website. The room was super small.The pool was very dirty, and the rest of the property looked untidy. Positive Barbara was quite friendly and accommodating. "

"The acommodation was absolutely beautiful, more than what we bargained for. When looking for accommodation we always only look for a decent place to sleep because we seldom spend much time there aside from sleeping there. This time around not only was the photo's true to what you get, in fact we got more than that but also we actually wanted to spend more time there other than just sleeping there. From the friendly welcome to the friendly goodbye this was by far the best accommodation we have come across in all our travels. Thanks Barbara."
