Tweni Waterfront Guest Lodge

The hotel is 5,5km from the centre of Port Shepstone CBD in the heart of the UGU municipal district. The hotel is 60m from the beach and a short walk on the beach to the main swimming beach Tweni with lifeguards and shark nets. 3 km to the country club, beach and river fishing. A beautiful fresh water swimming pool on site to freshen up after a hot day.

We are situated 25 minutes north of the Wild Coast Sun Casino, 15 minutes north of the Shelly Shopping Centre, which boasts Ster Kinekor movies and South Coast Mall. Only 20 minutes from Margate and a mere 25 minutes from the spectacular Oribi Gorge Wild Five, which offers hiking, gorge jumping and wild swing across the Oribi Gorge.

All rooms have private bathrooms en suite and are set with a beautiful view of the lagoon and the ocean . Graded a 3 star resort by Satour, the rooms are simple, comfortable, clean and complete with DSTV, Microwave , fridge ,fans and coffee making facilities. We also have Self-Catering Units with a well equipt kitchenette .The rooms are serviced daily and all linen, bath towels and soaps are provided.

The South Coast enjoys a temperate, sub tropical climate with warm to hot humid summers and mild winters. Midday temperatures hover around 20 to 25 degrees centigrade. The South Coast is a summer rainfall area with prolonged spells of light rain from November to March. Winter weather is beautiful with endless still, sunny days and calm seas for swimming diving, fishing or surfing. Sea temperatures hover around the low 20 degrees.

There are eleven official languages in South Africa. On the coast English, Afrikaans and Zulu are widely spoken.

There are several well equipped and professionally staffed hospitals and clinics on the South Coast and are only a phone call away.

An easy 90 minutes from King Shaka International Airport and 15km from Margate regional airport. 700km from Johannesburg and 115km South of Durban, a perfect stopover on the way to the Cape.

    "Lodge is located in a good and interesting area, it served the purpose of being away from noise at the same time very well situated regarding holiday needs. Restaurant below had good food, keep it up. Check out time really was a challenge, given that you are on holiday, no one wants to wake up at 7h to prepare for check out at 9h!"
