The staff and in specific Fazel and Marie-Clare where friendly and accommodating that makes the hotel even more pleasant. Downstairs from Amalfi there are some great food venues thats just a step away from your hotel room. Looking forward to using the place again on my next trip. Keep it up Amalfi"

  "On arrival we had a few "hiccups". They didn't add an extra bed in our room and our statement was incorrect but everything was sorted out very quickly. We had a very pleasant stay and will stay at Amalfi again. It was very central and close to everything. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. We loved the cafe downstairs."

  "We had a very friendly and warm welcome. Loved the service and the apartments were just perfect. I did misread about a stove being in the apartments, but it was still like paradise. Every shop or place to see or go to was close by and the restaurant at the entrance was just divine. I am looking forward to my next visit there."

  "Pros - Enjoyed the spacious room, kitchenette, good security and free internet. Cons - Duvet too thin for cool weather - no extra bedding available. DSTV was very limited - no news channels etc."

  "Room very clean but the claim to be a self catering establishment is misleading. There are no pots or pans, no egg lifter or tin opener. There are no bowls (whether you want to use it for cereal or any other purposes). Also no service on Sundays (you are left with wet towels - only two bath towels and one very small towel are provided)."

  "On arrival at Amalfi I was given suite 108 which was very sparsely furnished and did not contain all of the crockery, utensils etc that was required. I was moved the following day to suite 109 which was more comfortable and given all of the things that I requested. I realise that the suites have not been operating fo very long, however, I find it strange that you would put people into suites that are not fully equipped and wait for them to complain and then move them somewhere else. Surely there should be a standard inventory and all suites should be equipped the same. The picture on the website is obviously of one of your better equipped suites and gives rather a false impression. I did however enjoy my stay, I found the place to be very clean and well serviced and I found all of the staff very efficient and very pleasant and helpful. I will certainly recommend the Amalfi and hope to return some time for another visit."
